Posizione strategica. 5 minuti a piedi dalla Scala , 8 dalla Galleria, 8 dal parcheggio Bonaparte e 10 dalla fermata metro Cadorna. Personale gentilissimo, bella camera con grande terrazzo. Ottima colazione. Bagno molto grande. Tutto molto pulito. Da ripetere

insoddisfacente
camera con soffitti ribassati, quasi a baldacchino sul letto. La frutta viene fatta pagare alla prima colazione. La colazione in camera non ha gli spazi sufficienti per essere fatta, salvo il terrazzino, freddo in questa stagione e dal quale si osservano benissimo le persone a letto nell'altra camera...!!!! Qualità/prezzo non all'altezza. Si esce sulle scale del condominio per arrivare alle camere con terrazzo. Alla reception non capivano bene l'italiano...

Die Antica Locanda dei Mercanti war ein ideales Hotel zur Erkundung der Stadt, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuss ins Zentrum und in das Brera-Viertel mit zahlreichen Speiselokalen. Sehr empfehlenswert. Christian und Monika Rauch

Perfectly situated within walking distance from the duomo, Via Dante and good restaurants. Excellent room, but a service structure more suitable to a guest house than a hotel.

Lovely little stay in Milan
Lovely little place in Milan where we felt right at home. We love a boutique hotel rather than the big places and this lovely inn is one of the reasons why. Quaint rooms, nice hosts, lovely garden patio… would stay here again.

The staff at the "Antica Locanda dei mercanti" was always super-friendly and helpful! Our room was perfect (size, bathroom, interior). We will make sure to stay at the "Locanda" again.

A delightful stay in Milan
Loved my stay at Antica Locanda de Mercanti. The hotel is a bit hard to find but very charming, very good breakfast, excellent service at the front desk. I would de go back next time I am in Milan.

This was such a fun boutique hotel! It was in the cutest side street of Milan - extremely walkable to shopping, dining, and the duomo! My friend and I had the best stay here - the staff was SOOOO kind. The woman at the front desk was super helpful and showed us how to get around during our stay. 10/10 - would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay! Not a typical hotel..with 100 of guests.. It is a lovely small hotel where you can have peace and quiet after busy day. All key attraction are 10 min walk..Staff friendly and very supportive. I recommend this hotel mainly for 👬

Excellent location and service. Highly recommend getting the delicious breakfast which will keep you going until dinner. The size of the bathroom is a revelation compared to many Italian hotels.

Antica Locanda is a charming property located in a fabulous location in the historic center of Milan. If you want a locally run, charming hotel instead of the cookie cooker corporate hotels, this is for you. The building may be centuries old, but the rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. Absolutely loved this hotel!

The room was spacious and clean. Staff were really nice and helpful from check in to check out. The area is very central. One thing I didn’t like was that I can hear the person in the unit upstairs walking around at 5am.

Absolutely loved this hotel, staff so helpful. When you arrive you wonder whether you’re in the right place, but on entry, opens up to a quirky boutique hotel. Situated in the city beautifully. My daughter had the best birthday in Milan

Great location
Great location. Had a room w a terrace, which was an oasis in the city. It was comfortable and bright, and even had a kitchenette (didn’t use). The hotel is within a commercial/residential building. You need to walk up a small flight of stairs to get to a tiny elevator. It was ok for me but might not be for everyone.

Wrong Room Lied to No Apology
Did not receive the room that we booked! I specifically chose this hotel because it had a terrace and I booked a terrace room accordingly, but when we checked in and were shown to our room no terrace. I pointed this out to the clerk and was told there was "a problem with the terrace and that this room was a free upgrade". I reiterated again that I only chose this hotel because of the terrace and that I was not happy with the room, again I was told that there was a problem with the terrace that they couldn't fix due to lack of help and that this was "a free upgrade", as our car was parked on the street and we needed to move it and return it to the rental car company and we were tired from driving I didn't argue further. The next morning after a little investigating we found out that there was nothing wrong with the terrace and that all the terrace rooms were booked. When we expressed our displeasure to the morning desk clerk and pressed him on the matter we were told that only our room had a "problem with the bathroom"! We were never offered an apology and were lied to. I must add that my husband is native Italian and speaks fluently so language wasn't an issue. The sofa in our room was stained, the hotel was very hard to find because it isn't marked at all. We had to go into the hotels on either side of it (that did have signage to inquire) We stayed in 7 different hotels on our travels through Germany and Italy and this is the only one we wouldn't return to or recommend.

Dear Ms Susan,the manager did apology the next morning: I spoke personally with your husband and did apology for the problem caused.There was no need of investigating about the room problem we had: we told you about an issue in the terrace room. We have 4 rooms with terrace and were all booked: which means 3 were full and your one empty.I tried to explain to you and your husband, but apparently I was not clear enough: you still think there was a misconduct by us. This is not true.I will not mention you words against the Italian people, this is not the right place.Have a nice day.
