Hotel vicino a Mines of Spain Cemetery - Dubuque

“The staff was very friendly. The hotel and room were very clean. Lots of free parking and places to explore near the hotel. The pool and whirlpool were very nice. Whoever is maintaining the pool is doing it right....no strong chemical smell, weird foam, or scum. Loved that the history was something everyone seemed proud of.”

“Really sweet, niche location. Hidden in its own little area so no unwanted traffic coming through. Very close to anything a tourist would want to do in Dubuque! Room was decent, nothing too crazy, amenities were nice! Lots of pamphlets showing the local events and happenings. Would stay again!”

“the review at Best Western did good, clean and personal. Clean room did good job but missed one thing was when I drop dirty towels by door. maid did not bring clean the towels after dropping them off by door. Breakfast was good but need to add some breakfast.”

“The doors were all broken and just stayed opened. There is no elevator on the property. The breakfast is poor in that it’s just cereal and waffles. The outlet placement in the room is bizarre, like right over the headboard. The manager didn’t even tell us what time breakfast was-I was supposed to read it on the key card. And speaking of key card-it deactivated (which the manager says happens all the time) so we had to run back downstairs, outside and to the front desk. The bed was very hard and...

“Elevator didn’t work well. Property cleanliness in question. Sketchy clientele. Very old, uncomfortable beds. We tried to go cheap and it backfired. You do get what you pay for so I guess as a silver lining the room was at the correct price point. ”
