“Peter and Sheila were wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas of where to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable with them providing information about the area. If we return to the Northumberland area we will definitely return there to stay again.”

“Wonderful guest house in great location overlooking the beach. Free parking in front of the guest house and opposite the coop. Great room and delicious freshly cooked breakfast. Couldn’t believe we saw seals in the harbour and a great place for scuba diving.”

I had also asked for a room with a walk in shower but didn't get it. The biscuits on the tea tray were the smallest pieces of shortbread I have seen made worse by having no biscuits at all on my second night. “Had a 2 night stay. Booked this property as it had an elevator and travelling with an elderly parent with reduced mobility. On arrival late in the evening we learned that both elevators were out of order. We were on the 3rd floor with no other suitable rooms available. With assistance from staff and another guest we made it to the room. We were able to switch to a lower room the next morning. All staff were very apologetic and went out of their way to help us make the stay positive...

“I would normally say nothing rather than write a bad review but this place was so bad - the room in particular, the fact that no one cared and it showed , the lack of maintenance or bothering about customers , i think other guests should be aware. We could have put up with having to search for someone to check us in, the dirty carpets, battered dirty paint work, incredibly slow service , being made to feel an inconvenience for having dinner ( food was nice when we eventually got it) and not...
