Disappointed
We have stayed at Waters Edge many times over many years and have never been disappointed! The check in was very normal to past endeavors. Upon entering the unit there was a smell that I could not identify, myself and my mother in-law felt we needed to clean unit and spray. We also noticed that the furniture was old and outdated. Grime and rusted on bottom. The pots and pans still had food on them and had to be scrubbed and soaked just to clean them up to be used. There spackled areas through out the unit walls. Whoever painted left wall anchors and screws in the wall and painted over them. Tiles where broken in the bathroom floors and shower curtains had mold on them. The blinds were broken and the curtains were not installed properly so they were not covering the windows properly. The ceilings showed damage of some type of leak in the back bedroom. The second night my husband and I were awoken by the sound of dripping water, only to find the ceiling leaking in. We had to take a trash can to collect the water. We left there for the rest of the trip. We have never had this type of experience before. I took pictures to document everything. There was a constant puddle outside the units door. You would think that if you take the time to install new carpet you would also fix the leak and repair the ceiling damage. Granted that we always stayed on lower floors. I think that we will need to find another place to stay next summer. It is not the same place as years before.
