The location of the hotel was perfect but that’s about the only good thing I had to say some of the hotel staff as a matter of fact, was downright rude, and the room itself was pretty clean, but the hallway and the property was a little dirty in some areas overall, I would not recommend a hotel to anyone as even the pole area the pole that you used to get down into the pool was completely disconnected and it just wasn’t the most cleanest facility that I have visited to say the least and closing, I will not be revisiting said facility

Place should be shut down Absolutely disgusting and shameful I endured medical treatment Gross and is in violation of health codes Illegal drug activity and prostitution which management and police don’t care about Bed bugs . Fleas all kinds of drugs smells and prostitution and when you ask a police officer about it he says “Welcome to Bermuda Sands” Be smart read the reviews because they are very true And the sad thing is no manager or police help “Stay Away “!!!!!!!!!!!

So, our room was usable, it wasn't "spotless" but I've seen worse. Definitely out dated. Pools are kinda grungy but kids used them, hot tub was broken. Mattresses were HORRIBLE. As a cheap stay, you get what you pay for so it is what it is.

I got the pleasure of staying on the little building off to the side away from the main hotel. It was very peaceful considering it was away from the others who were booked at the main hotel to the left. It was almost like renting a little house on the beach! I have booked much more expensive hotels that were in a lot less worse condition regarding cleanliness and upkeep—I was pleasantly surprised to find everything clean, and best of all—NO roaches or bedbugs!! I did not like that parking at the actual building was EXTREMELY limited and that most individuals had to park in the 3 additional parking lots across the street. I didn’t like NOT having my vehicle close by due to safety reasons but I understand that cannot exactly be helped. I also did not like my slightly rude experience with a staff member that kind of put me off in the beginning—I have an hearing condition on top of social anxiety so could not precisely hear where the male receptionist said my room was. After searching twice, I decided to go back in and ask again where it was and I was met with an irritated tone that it was over in the other building which made me feel ashamed for even asking honestly. I understand staff are stressed due to being so busy so I just brushed it off. Despite that, I will definitely be booking here again—couldn’t ask for a better place, and the location was perfect!

The two lady’s at the front desk are rude as hell. Mostly the older white lady and the other girl with the accent is her little back up. Other than that, the room was pretty clean and stay was good! The area isn’t the best, lots of crime/cop chases and fight broke out. Convenient to lots of restaraunts and stores. My only issue was the ladies up front. And that when I booked it, I booked oceanfront and somehow it got changed to “city view”. But honestly the side view is a better view of the ocean because of all the trees they have in the back, so that worked out to my favor. Overall- probably won’t be back. Simply because of service and area. Good hotel for the price though.

Didn’t like I had to pay $75 more then Expedia quoted me. Was suppose to be ocean view room and there was no view!! Lady at checkout was rude when I questioned why I had to pay more and showed her my confirmation from Expedia. She didn’t care and said y’all was a third party!! Never again will I book with y’all!

Very dirty, hair all over the bathroom tub and toilet, dirt and food on the floor, cigarette ashes by the night stands. Blankets looked dirty and old. There was no toilet paper stocked had to ask for some and got attitude from front desk.

Great location on boardwalk near pier. Good parking. Great restaurant. Beautiful view. BUT.... Common area carpets dirty even dried puke not cleaned up entire weekend. Lots of garbage in parking lots not picked up. Lazy river bottom moldy and dirty. Dirty carpet in room and common areas. Elevator had no inspection info. Elevator had dirty walls and floor. Sticky doors and light switches in room and common area. Sink old and service cracked. Jet tub broken with dirty jets. Furniture cheap w vinyl peeling off particle board. Heavily stained mattress. Phone not working. No replacement towels in whole hotel. No room cleaning. Damaged sheets. No hangers. No coffee and condiments. No cream rinse. No lotion.

Indoor pool and hot tub needs a lot of work. Indoor pool was very cold. Outdoor lazy river was nice. Liked my room but don’t think they are cleaned very good. There was dried ketchup on the desk and something sticky on the balcony handrail.

This hotel was clean. It had nice new tile on the bathroom floor. It had a nice clean table tucked in the corner. We were able to pull it out near the bed, to play cards, as there was only one chair. The wall lamp was on the opposite side of the bed. Something had damaged the mirror and dresser. The TV and heat worked. There is nowhere to hang your coat or clothes, no plastic cups, no toilet paper roll holder. They did have shampoo and soap, bath towels and wash cloth, no hand towel. The water was hot in the shower. All in all, it's a small room, with some oddities, but fine for place to stay. The pool water looked a funny color, but it may be from people bringing in sand and dirt from the beach? It is located right at the southern end of the paved boardwalk, nice walk.

We booked two rooms and overall it wasnt a terrible experience, but it wasnt 5 stars either. Some pros, the ocean view was nice and the jet tubs were also an added bonus. The room's were spacious and not too small, and the ac works great. Now some negatives. One of our rooms had a terrible smell when you first walked in, and there was broken glass in the sink, along with no toilet paper. Our second room the smoke detector was beeping for low battery and when we reported it the staff stated "just take it down". Plus the hot water didn't work in the room. There was two parking lots, one was small but nice and quiet, the other which was overflow on the other side of the hotel had three drug deals plus a fight happen in the small night. It is one of those, you get what you pay for hotels.

First off, every elevator that we used was shaky and felt like it was not properly secure in the shaft. This causes to resort to using the staircase. Every step seem to be a different dimension and it was hard just to walk up and down the stairs. You also have to duck when you get to the end of the stairs because the ceiling is much lower at the base of the stairs for some reason. Our room, 528, the door key had to be tapped about eight times every time in order to unlock the door. Trying to lock the door when you want to leave takes about 15 minutes. You have to jiggle the handle in combination with using the card to try to trick it to lock. I reported the key issues to staff member and they told me that the lock batteries were probably just low. The next day when we came back from lunch, our door was completely unlocked and not fully closed. The sink in our room barely ran out of Trickle, with both hot and cold water. With this being a pet friendly hotel, I did expect some level of grunginess but this was absurd. The ice machines were all on the first floor and locked in a room, making you have to get an attendant every time you need ice. Parking spaces were way too close together and it was extremely hard to drive through the parking lot even with a small vehicle. The remote control to the television in the bedroom was busted. The mattress also felt like sleeping directly on a box spring. This is definitely a case of, you get what you pay for.

Didn’t have hot water ! Couldn’t get the front desk to stay on the phone they would hang up on us . When we had the staff come to the room they did not knock before coming in thank goodness I had the lock flipped over or the man would’ve walked right in . The jet tubs could’ve been a lot cleaner I had to run a tub full and clean the jets myself !! There was blood on the wall burn marks in the bathroom on the counter top . And the tvs u had to log in to ur own account to even watch anything .

Awful experience, never again.
This hotel should be demolished and rebuilt. Absolutely awful. Floor was destroyed, walls were filthy, nothing was clean-bathroom looked as if it hasn’t been cleaned in months, mold on the faucets, door barely locked-screws were missing on the lock. Had to used the stairs to go up and down 4 stories because the elevator shook-did not feel safe at all.

Service was fair. Hotel was clean but very run down. We had an ocean front room and the views were incredible. So nice sitting on balcony. Kind of overpriced with there service fees and extras. Air condition only half worked but sufficient. But wasn’t very hot out.

Thoroughly yuck
I booked this 2 night stay with Bermuda Sands because it fit my budget, was dog friendly, and was on the beach. Myself (35F) and my 2 children (7 & 13) and our dog. The pictures online do nothing for the actual state of the hotel. Once checked in (smooth process surprisingly) they charge you $5 per key card for your room. Not a big deal. The elevator was SKETCHY and creaked and shook horribly. Once on the 2nd floor (room 212) we opened it, it smelled of dog pee and smoke. Carpets in the room were absolutely filthy, my kids and my feet bottoms were black after walking on it. It was damp, I'm certain that was the pee smell. I immediately checked beds and mattresses for bugs and didn't notice anything. The toilet ran nonstop no matter what I tried. The first night people were screaming outside in the halls. The tvs only have a handful of channels that work. Sofa pull out bed absolutely filthy, crumbs and sticky. All 3 mattresses were old and many questionable stains. Second night I went to my car and there was a massive pile of dog feces and urine on a stairway. Once back in the room, I flipped my sheet back only to see a bedbug crawling. My kids were already asleep and I chose not to freak out but I definitely will not be going back, I don't care how cheap it is. The views on ocean side are nice, the close walk to sand and water is nice. Their pool was being shut down for the season so I can't comment on that since we couldn't use it.
