Family tradition beach vacation

The house was clean and plenty of room for our family of 10 and dogs. It’s just across the street from the ocean, which was perfect. Beds were comfy and the house had cute decor. Everything you need to cook with was in the kitchen. The only thing we needed to buy was a small Keurig coffee maker. The commercial ice maker was a plus. We had a great time.

Great location

The house was on a corner across from beach. Positives include outdoor shower. Well stocked kitchen although it was difficult to locate a certain utensil because nothing other then silverware was organized. Bathrooms for each bedroom was a plus. They allowed us to check in a 1;00 instead of 4. The wraparound porch and rockers were great. Negative: the floors were filthy. Made our feet black. There was so much dust under the master bedroom bed. The extra comforter was so soiled.(pictured). The rag rug in the kitchen was exactly that, a rag.(pictured)It was Thanksgiving. We cooked a turkey. The oven was filthy.(pictured) House was lacking amenities. Most VRBOs have pool table, porch swing, Beach chairs etc.The outdoor stairs had safety runners that were tearing away. The house is in need of updates The site does not allow for pictures.

beautiful Property

We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, everything we needed was close. The house was very spacious, everyone had their own space. The kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay again, The management was very helpful

Out stay

When we first arrived the door code would not work, but after a few phone calls, one key was hid under the mat and we got extra keys delivered to us within hours. We had a very nice stay, loved the location.

Fantastic Property

We enjoyed our stay at this property, June 3-June 10. On our first night one of the doors to a bedroom got locked and maintenance sent a representative within 1 hour to open door. While he was there, he addressed a couple of other small concerns in a friendly professional way. Washer was replaced while we were there which took care of the off-balance issue when items were washed. I made calls to property management a few other items and they were always able to answer my questions. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was priceless for my family of 16. Because weather was so good and beach so close the 6 grandsons did not spend much time in the pool but when they did they enjoyed it. I would recommend this property to other families looking for a good place to stay.

Emailed/called about the “lack of dishwasher” 4 different occasions. No follow up from Southern Coast Vacations. Poor customer service.

The house was great. However like the reviews said the pool was dirty. Not things flouting on top dirty but GREEN steps and dirty walls. Before I rented I called and was promised the pool would be cleaned! It wasn’t….. a few phone calls later and someone showed up to clean and shocked it. Bad part is we all wanted to jump in the pool after a four hour motorcycle ride in and couldn’t tell the next day due to Chemicals. Over all a great place we had fun but my crew always does no matter where we go. Oh P.S cut the grass yard looked like bad.

There was a small issue with the pool cleaning. The public parking areas near the house for overflow were not very clear with hours and times until we received a ticket ND actually spoke to someone.. Ceiling fans had an inch of dirt on them. The location to the beach was great. Other than that the property met all of our needs.

The owner should know the cleaning service and pool service are cheating them and making them lose business. Would never stay there again. Southern Coast Vacations service is terrible.

Great location short walk to the beach

Great location short walk to the beach, nice clean home. However house is small for a 6 bedroom with only one living room area, plus only 1 frigerator was challenging for 11 people, there were also no kitchen towels or oven mitts, so we bought some and left them there for the next renter to benefit. Lastly upon checking In there were no sheets or towels despite paying for the linen package. However after contacting the manager who was very nice they brought them to the house. Overall we liked this house and mostly the location and pool!

Excellent house for a large group

This is a great house in Surfside for a large group. The location is good in that it’s right across the street from the beach though it’s a long walk to any of the restaurants or bars. The house is clean, well maintained and very spacious. All in all a really good choice.

Family Vacation

We when arrived at the house it was extremely clean. Lots of room for everyone and plenty of bathrooms which is hard to find in a beach house. Very close to the beach. The property management was easy to get in touch with and addressed any issues we had.

Surfside beach review

The house itself is beautiful. The property has plenty of space. The location is the best one could possibly ask for. The beach front is directly across the street from the house - this was like taking our kids to the candy store every day. That and the pool located on the property make it very appealing. The problem we had was with the property management company. The property itself was not cleaned sufficiently when we arrived. This isn’t acceptable, especially because we had to pay for cleaning. So since our cleaning fee pays for the next family’s arrival, we should have been reimbursed for the cleaning fee, because the house was not sufficiently cleaned or our stay. The units are also stocked with linen, but our bed had sheets were too small and we had to wait 2 days to receive proper linen. In addition, the cable and Internet were not working due to a storm, we were told. But we weren’t informed until we called arrived and tried turning on the tv’s and had to call the property managers ourselves. And what made this so frustrating is that the property manager, Ms. E. said all houses in the area were without cable and we went without cable or Internet for several days. I checked with our neighbors who actually had working cable. When I questioned this with the property managers and asked to speak with the owner, she said that I could not and that would be considered harassment if I contacted the owner. I have never heard that before. My biggest complaint is that since we spent a large amount for1 week, we should have received much better accommodations. I shouldn’t have had to constantly call the property management office. We arrived on a Saturday and no one could provide assistance until Monday. Finally, upon checking out there is a check list that one must follow to avoid being fined. Things like cleaning the grill if not done, which wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. Furniture placement, running the dishwasher, etc are all items to be done to avoid being fined. But we certainly weren’t on the receiving end of having all these things done for us and should have been. The property managers can and should do much better. Derrick and Karen

Had a wonderful week with family!

My family, ranging from 11 months to 59 had a wonderful time. Great location, the beach and water were just lovely every day! We saw a HUGE rainbow, much to my grandchildrens' delight. Loved having a bathroom for every bedroom and the view from the porches was nice. I wished the house was a little cleaner when we arrived and the frying pans really need to be replaced. In addition the remote for the TV in the living room didn't work, even when replaced the battery. (The men weren't happy about that, lol) However, it was one of the most relaxing times in my life and to spend that with my family there was just perfect! Would highly recommend!

My family of 18 had a wonderful time especially being treated by the fireworks on July 4th. The view from your verandas was spectacular. Awesome was the word that I most heard my kids say. p.s. everything worked except the can opener (neither one). FYI.....you might want to check out the railings going down stairs outside.....a bit shaky. Thanks you we would definitely use it again......Florence Chasse.
