“Very clean quaint cottage. Beautiful! ”

“What a beautiful place to stay . The only room above a fully renovated pub. Both the room and the pub are beautifully done. It's a large spacious room . The classic cast iron slipper foot tub in the middle of the room was used everyday. Great way to wind down. A convenience store is across the street so is parking . Great food downstairs in the pub and the staff couldn't have been nicer. If Southerndown is on your radar . This is the spot!”

“Lack of communication with the owner . Messaged me a month before saying he had to cancel because of access to the stairs then ten mins later said the booking was ok . The day before I was due to travel I had a message saying the property would not be ready until a day later than I had booked and paid for it ! Although he did say he would give me a day payment back to which I have not yet received ! The day of travel I asked for the PIN number to enter the property and was told I would receive...

“It was a lovely property in a great location. The owner was really easy to communicate with and the beach and coastal walk were beautiful.There was some scaffolding at the property which the owner inform us of beforehand. This was not being used. There were some early works on a flat downstairs but we let the owner know and they let us know it would be handled.I would stay again”

“We really enjoyed our stay in Porthcawl. The property was only a short walk from the beach but the location was quiet and clean. The flat itself was clean and tidy and had everything we needed although a few areas were looking a bit more tired than in the photos - the laminate flooring being the main one. We had a problem at check in but the helpful owner was on the other end of the phone to sort it for us, quickly and politely. A great few days at the seaside! We hope to come back soon.”

“Once inside, the property is very nice. But FINDING it is impossible without careful assistance from the owner. The street address given by VRBO does not exist. The property access is off a run down alley BEHIND where the street address would be. No navigation system in the world could find this place. You have to carefully go down the parallel alley and look for the property. The owner emailed me pictures of the property from the alley which was the ONLY way to actually find it.”

“We had an excellent time at the Old School Cottage. The house is well furnished and equipped with everything you could need, and the location is excellent. Fall Bay and Mewslade Bay beaches are only a 10–15 minute walk away, and there is a bus stop outside the house with buses running every hour (except on Sundays), so you can easily explore the many footpaths across Gower, as well as the scenic coastal path. The hosts were very welcoming, and we were delighted to find a selection of fine local...
