  • The Location - Gli Shoal Bay Beach Apartments si trovano a soli 200 metri dall'estremità occidentale della famosa spiaggia di Shoal Bay e vantano anche una piscina nel complesso. A solo un chilometro dai caffè, dai ristoranti e dalle boutique di Shoal Bay oa due chilometri da Nelson Bay per altri negozi, supermercati, bar, ristoranti e il porto turistico. La base ideale!

    L'appartamento - Appartamento 17 si trova al secondo piano e si affaccia su una riserva di bush. C'è un ampio balcone con un barbecue a gas, ideale per mangiare all'aperto, che conduce in open space e aria condizionata che vivono con un divano letto, TV a schermo piatto e lettore DVD, zona pranzo e una cucina completa con piano cottura, forno, microonde e lavastoviglie. La camera da letto principale ha un letto king size e accesso al balcone, la seconda camera ha un letto a castello (doppio sul fondo e singolo sopra) e c'è un bagno con doccia, oltre a una lavanderia interna con lavatrice e asciugatrice. Parcheggio fuori strada per una macchina con accesso all'appartamento.

    Ci sono sicuramente allarmi fumo in questa proprietà.

The apartment was in a great location, close to shops, beach etc, but the apartment windows/doors did not have fly screens, making it impossible to get fresh air without bugs coming into the space, but it was incredibly hot in both the bedrooms (with no airflow due to lack of screens), the apartment was not particularly clean, with dust, grime and multiple cockroaches during our stay. The pool was easily accessible, but again was a bit dirty and grimey.

Some fridge and freezer shelving brokenLights barely worked, their very faint, some light switches are delayed or only work after an amount of time after clicking the button or spamming the buttonPillows and blankets dirty Plates/ cutlery dirtyAircon very weak yet the machine is very loud, Dishwasher leaked soap and water when it was onToaster is in horrible conditionLight in laundry does not workInsects filled the house at nightThe pool is a fraction of the size as it appears in photos Does not come with basic things like bin bags or cling wrap, absolutely nothing was provided by the company If you turn of the lights to the living room/ dining room/ kitchen area then it turns off the lights to the whole house. No other fans or lights will workThe mattress for the “sofa bed” was so dirty it’s practically unusable

We won’t be staying here again ,!!!

Would not stay there again nor recommend to anyone . Unit was not clean , dust everywhere . Outside patio was filthy hadn’t been cleaned for months . Not my idea of renting a unit & have to make up beds before we could sleep in them (holiday) . Plates were chipped . A used dish cloth had been holded up & put back in the cupboard to be reused . COVID really .

There are 3 sliding doors with no fly screens so you cannot take advantage of breeze as is near bushland no aircon or fan in second bedroom. rust between tiles and shower.

It's a shame this property is leased through Winning Holidays, because the property itself is quite nice. Its an updated beachy apartment in a good location. It was missing basics such as hand soap, salt and pepper, etc which we had to purchase ourselves. Cleanliness was not great: the BBQ was absolutely FILTHY so we didn't bother, the couches & throws are grubby, but the worst thing was finding crusty white stains on the inside of the doona. Really disgusting. As for our experience with Winning Holidays: COULD NOT BE WORSE! I was called a few days before check-in and told their system had an error so our payment didn't go through. We paid & I sent an email with proof of payment, also asking for check in instructions. I hear nothing. I continue to send emails & get no answers. Days go by and now we are due to check in. I call their office multiple times: NO ANSWER. I leave voicemails asking for someone to call me back: NO ANSWER. Finally at 2.30 we get an email saying check in from 3pm and a text with an address to collect keys!! We BARELY make it to their office before closing! 5 people behind the desks, unfriendly, claiming their phones don't work. We get a key and an address (no unit number). The key has 218 written on it: UNITS ONLY GO UP TO 20! We try keys on units 2, 17 and 18: NONE WORK. No after-hours number to be found! I race back to their office with 1min spare to get another set of keys. HORRIBLE, STRESSFUL START TO A HOLIDAY. I recommended you book elsewhere.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was good despite rain all weekend.Loved the ice cubes already in the freezer.I know there had been lots of rain the week before and during the weekend but the second bedroom carpet inside the glass door was/got very wet due to the drain on the balcony covered in leaves and balcony filled up with water and it came in under the door. We used towels to try and dry it out.

Family Getaway

Property was dirty, furniture could use an update. Most disappointing part was the pool was out of order which wasn’t posted that way on the add. So the wife and I had to deal with 3 kids that prefer to swim in a pool over the beach. I complained to Winning Holidays yet didn’t hear back. Location is great and neighbours were nice.
