I had two uneventful two night solo stays at this hotel three weeks apart. Uneventful that is until I checked out the second time and 24 hours later had $56 lifted from my debit card. On querying the charge I was informed I’d spilled a cup of coffee on the carpet, which took an hour and eight towels to clean up. I protested my innocence and was told to email my complaint, which I did. The reply from their franchise director clearly implied I was lying and had four very dubious photos attached, showing various towels arranged on the floor, purporting to show how they’d been used to clean up the spill, which must have been at least a bucketful of coffee. All in all a work of pure fiction ! More annoying is that they claimed to have noticed the spill just after I checked out, but waited 24 hours to take the money, ensuring I was far enough out of the way not to return. Well I learned my lesson the hard way, if you’re booked to stay here make sure you get them to inspect your room as you check out and ensure they remove your card details. If you’re considering booking I’d swerve this one. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but not to be trusted.
