B&B a New Glasgow

“It’s a shame that this inn lacks investment and renovation. The owner works hard and tries her best but the establishment is in need of modernization. Musty smell from the old carpets, old bathrooms and badly locking doors. I felt that I didn’t get value for money compared to the other inns and bed & breakfasts we stayed in during our time in Nova Scotia. This was probably the most expensive but the least value. “Very much in the Scottish theme! Sandy, our host had a great sense of humour & with good stories to share. He also had advice about where to eat & visit in Pictou. At breakfast he dressed up in his kilt to serve a delicious light breakfast prepared by both him & Cathy. We enjoyed our time there!”

“Attractive Victorian House that’s well maintained. Rooms are on the second floor. The lights from a building across the road were on all night—the shades helped, but still a distraction. Updated bathroom. No hair dryer. No TV. Wifi was slow. The owners were very nice. Breakfast was very good. Easy walk to the 3 restaurants in town. Sadly, Pictou is kind of a depressing town, though everyone was very nice. Not much there to see or do. We did a hike outside of town.”
