Torodes - casa sulla spiaggia con vista sull'oceano

Torodes è una casa sulla spiaggia splendidamente rinnovata situata di fronte alla splendida spiaggia di surf di sabbia bianca di Catherine Hill Bay. La casa dispone di quattro camere da letto che possono ospitare fino a otto persone, con ampie verande ombreggiate, ampi giardini recintati e ampie vedute della spiaggia dalla camera al piano superiore e dal balcone.

Torodes è letteralmente a pochi passi dalla sabbia e non puoi stare più vicino alla spiaggia di Catho. Si trova a soli 90 minuti di auto a nord dal CBD di Sydney. Il villaggio di Catherine Hill Bay, patrimonio dell'umanità, è costituito da meno di 150 case ed è una delle comunità più antiche nell'area del Lago Macquarie.

Catherine Hill Bay si trova nella regione di Hunter Valley nel Nuovo Galles del Sud ed è stata recentemente riconosciuta per la sua straordinaria bellezza nel libro "101 migliori spiagge australiane".

Dall'altra parte della strada, l'estremità meridionale della spiaggia di Catherine Hill Bay è pattugliata da ottobre ad aprile. Le attività ricreative includono nuoto, surf, pesca e passeggiate costiere. Il villaggio è anche circondato da una boscaglia autoctona ed è un'ottima base per il bushwalking e il birdwatching. La spiaggia dall'altra parte della strada è dog friendly per l'area a nord del torrente (che è il 90% della spiaggia).

Il pub locale, The Wallarah Hotel, è a pochi passi di distanza. Nella vicina Swansea puoi trovare
supermercati, edicola, panetteria, banche, farmacie, caffè e un ufficio postale.

Torodes è una base fantastica per esplorare la Hunter Valley Region, compresi i vasti corsi d'acqua del Lago Macquarie (a pochi minuti di distanza), la fiorente scena gastronomica e artistica di Newcastle (40 minuti) e i vigneti della Hunter Valley (1 ora).

Fantastic stay!

The house is gorgeous, the location is perfect and Paul provided great information for check in. We were offered late check out which was so amazing to enjoy the house and the area for longer. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

August 2024 Stay at Torodes

The house is a fantastic location across the road from the beach. It’s a great size for 1-2 families with a yard in the back for small games. The verandah also is a lovely space for lunch. Paul was quick to help and friendly to communicate with. Thanks for all your help during our stay.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Fabulous location with beach and coastal walks. House was very comfortable and setup with everything we could possibly need including a large verandah and a fully fenced yard for our dog.

Heaven on a stick

Loved the house - retained character but heaps of comfort and luxury. Great secure garden. So many spaces to enjoy. Fantastic beach for walking and surfing - feels undiscovered though that is changing.

Brilliant location & cottage

Torodes is a beautifully renovated cottage which oozes charm. It is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is probably one of the best beach side houses we have ever stayed at. Our dog loved the large back garden & beach directly across the road. We will definitely be back!!

Just beautiful!!!

We had the best stay at Toordes!! Paul was great at communicating with us, the house was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The best were comfy, the shower was great and the view from the upstairs balcony just incredible. Our two doggos joined us at the stay - there was so much space for them in a big doggo friendly yard. They had the best time running around and had fun on the dog friendly beach opposite. Catherine hill is a very special place to us and we hope to be back soon and will defo being stay back at Toorodes if Paul will have us again ❤️

Beautiful house in a great location

I stayed here with a group of friends and we had a wonderful time. The house is located across the road from the beach and within walking distance to the local pub and a small cafe. The accommodation is wonderful! Lots of little pockets to hang out in, comfortable beds and the owners have thought of everything for you so the house is well stocked.

We had a great stay at Torodes. The place is very clean and welcoming. After a year where our family had been separated due to lockdowns it was priceless to spend it together at such an amazing location and comfortable house. We will definitely be back!

A charming, low key, relaxing break

Torodes is a charming cottage and its location across the road from the beach is perfect. The upstairs sunroom was great for watching the world go by and the downstairs verandah was perfect for drying off between swims. The big back yard and dog friendly beach were brilliant playgrounds for the 4 legged family member. CHB itself is quaint and very low key. The beach is stunning. We loved our stay and will return.

Nice and quiet and directly opposite the beach

A beautiful house and location directly opp the beach - we loved the loft and rooftop balcony (yes, it’s rooftop) overlooking the beach for our sunset drinks. A huge backyard ideal for kids. House was very clean and had everything we needed. We also appreciated the prompt comms with Paul throughout - thanks for sharing with us :-)

Great traditional beach house

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location opposite the beach although some road noise in the front room. Very well equipped for the holiday maker. Lots of stuff for the kids including boogie boards and surfboards, Netflix and Stan. Great kitchen with lots of little extras for cooks. Awesome verandah and garden with lots of afternoon sun. Would definitely recommend it.

Sunny, charming, beach house bliss

We had a really special time at Torodes. The character of the place, the way it opens up to the garden, the shady and warm wrap around verandah, the light & air which flood the living spaces and the NE facing MBR make it super relaxing and happy. You really don’t have to leave the house to be in a position to absorb the feeling of having escaped. It is tasteful and thoroughly charming in a way that you can’t help but sink into holiday mode. With the patrolled area of the beach being literally a stroll across the road, dozens of walks and numerous golf courses around the area, we had plenty to keep us occupied. We will return again and again to enjoy the bliss of this house.

Fabulous beach escape.

The house has everything you could possibly need to have a wonderful holiday. The position right on the beach was great but it was also very hard to leave the charming house with the most beautiful garden that has so many hidden spots to sit in the sun or cool off with the sea breeze. The top balcony is also a special spot to enjoy watching the world go by and to check out the waves on the beach.
