“Our stay was for 4 nights. It was nice to have b/f each day. Would have been nice that hosts offered hard boiled eggs and maybe croissants on at least one of our mornings. Coffee was excellent. The room was quite small for this long of duration. We like a hard bed and found this one quite soft. Loved the big windows! Free parking on the side of property and great location for our needs. ”

“We had a great stay at The Observatory in Christchurch. It’s a beautiful hotel—formerly a university—and they’ve preserved the original aesthetic, which gives it a lot of character. The photos honestly don’t do it justice; it’s even more stunning in person. The room and bathroom were very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was spotless. The location is also very convenient. Would definitely recommend staying here.”

“We had a lovely stay here before catching the train the next morning. The room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the train station. The decor is simple, but we stayed here for the ease of getting to the train. The staff were outstanding, very friendly and helpful (in spite of me not grasping things at first). For entertainment, you could access Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix and YouTube on the smart tv. They also arranged a transfer to the train station, most helpful. Would...

“Ampia stanza e grande bagno, dotato di tutto il necessario. Letto comodo e wifi funzionante, ma non darei 4 stelle e mezzo perche ' l ' arredamento e' del tutto normale. Simpatica , disponibile ed accogliente la proprietaria. Vicino a tutto, ma del resto il centro di Christchurch è piccolo e non c' e' granche'”

“Golden hotel is the perfect stay once landing in Christchurch and before leaving again. Very clean and nice space. Staff is also responsive and kind with inquiries. There is a Vietnamese cafe right on the main lobby so very convenient for a quick pick me up. Overall, would stay here again so definitely recommend!”
