Misleading Listing, Unhelpful Management – Avoid This PropertyI rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants a strong warning to others. The condo was nothing like advertised. The listing promised a master bedroom with a private balcony and a lake view—neither existed. There was no balcony off the master--only a small window looking at the parking lot. And there is NO lake view and the property is NOT lakefront. To make matters worse, the door lock batteries died during our stay. When we contacted the property management company, they were completely unhelpful. We had to replace the batteries ourselves, which is unacceptable given the premium price we paid.When we brought up the false advertising, the management company shrugged it off and said, “We can’t help you, you booked through VRBO.” This was especially frustrating because the same misleading information was also on their own website.Also, the sofa bed mattress was stained and disgusting.This property was overpriced, misrepresented, and poorly managed. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

Nice and Quiet

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Romar Lakes, away from the road noise and beach traffic but close enough to walk and enjoy the water. The separate rooms were clean and well kept. Check-in and check-out instructions were easy to understand and short. The wildlife on the backside of the condos were also a joy to watch.

Nice condo and location

Served our basic needs well. Would have been nice to be facing the water where the gazebo is, that was a little deceiving based on the photos. Television was awful. Could get much of any network programming. Bed was very comfortable in the master. Other two bedroom were pretty small for our company that needed work space.

Close to beach!

We had a wonderful time here! The condo was very clean. The complex was very quiet and within walking distance of the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice condo and pool very close to the beach.

We stayed at this condo with our oldest daughter, her husband and infant daughter. We also had our teenage son and his girlfriend and our other teenage daughter with us. We all had a great time at this condo which was very well kept. The pool which was accessible was also nice and the beach was right across the street (the crosswalk was quick and very easy to walk to). Literally the only complaint that I would have (it's a small one) was that it was very hard to open the dryer door because of the placement of the dryer (needed to be scooted over to the right side so the door opens freely). Everything else was on point about this condo!

Perfect Location

We really enjoyed our month as the location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. The weather was the best February we had in the last dozen years we were in Orange Beach/ Gulf Shores.
