“Room smelled like smoke. Pretty strongly. They offered to move my room but I figured it would be the same. Everyone in Taiwan smokes. There are cigarette butts everywhere outside lol. I liked that the room was quiet and new and clean so I just dealt with it. It had a balcony and the curtains by the balcony were the source of the smell. “This is a really great hotel overall, but there is one issue worth mentioning. It’s surprising that a five-star property has what feels like a dog kennel element, with noticeable smells in parts of the outdoor recreational area. From what I could see the dogs are there on a pet rental scheme.
