“This was an amazing lodge to stay while we travelled around Tongariro National Park. The owners are very friendly and want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I would HIGHLY recommend staying in this hidden gem. If I ever come back I will most certainly stay here again. Also, their breakfast was outstanding. ”

“It was pouring with rain when we arrived, so we really appreciated having the carport and entry cover, so we didn’t get soaked hauling our luggage in. Great for a 1nt stay on our way from Wellington to the Coromandel. Because of the weather the Coromandel didn’t happen, but that’s a whole other story! ”

“The male staff at the reception was very helpful by flexible arrangement. Parking a car in front of each lodge as well as the kichen was convenient. The facilty in the room looks a little old, but considering the price, it was acceptable. ”

“The Grove Turangi accommodation was lovely, easy to reach and very clean. There was parking right in front of the place. Check-in was super easy and straightforward with clear instructions. The hosts were very friendly. As an extra bonus, there was a sauna, which we really enjoyed. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we definitely recommend it! ”

“The room was very clean and had nice amenities, and the staff were friendly. The shower had fantastic water pressure, but it paled in comparison to the geothermal tub in the next room! The private geothermal pool (which also had a geothermal shower) was a perfect, romantic way to unwind after a long drive from Auckland. The fact that the room rate also includes access to the larger public pools is also a big plus (although we were too busy to visit those).”
