“We were first offered a room with bedroom upstairs. When I said I could not cope with that for health reasons, we were cheerfully offered a ground floor room instead. This one of the best motels we've ever stayed at. To find it in small town NZ was a delightful surprise. We'll be back. It deserved an excellent rating.”

“We were only here for three nights but loved the time we had here. It was welcoming, spotless and our fridge was stocked everyday with breakfast foods, even bacon. The kitchen was really well stocked as was the rest of the house. For us, instead of being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves at night, we were able to hear the river and drop off to sleep with that beautiful sound, it really was a luxury home away from home. Thank you”

“Absolutely adored my stay here. Just wow. What a lovely place. The decor was so cute. Bed was very comfortable, a king size. The kitchen was well stocked. Bathroom was great. The property itself is lovely and convenient to town. Hosts were kind.”

“Property needs to be modernised. Single glazing and shower fittings are from the sixties. No bedside tables or even a coffee table in the lounge”

“Breakfast was great! Room very clean, staff helpful, we stayed 2 nights and asked for clean towels but our milk and hot chocolate sachets weren't replaced, we could have asked though! Our bathroom had an odour but we quickly realized that it probably hadn't been used in a while and needed some water poured down the shower drain! That fixed it immediately and it didn't bother us again. Over all a very comfortable stay and we would definitely stay again!”
