    Siamo a 20 miglia da Wolf Creek ea 5 minuti in auto dal centro di Pagosa Springs. Ritrovati con l'accesso al fiume San Juan e un laghetto per la pesca rifornito, inoltre per un motivo ci chiamiamo Sunset Ranch!

    Rilassati e sentiti a casa in questa cabina moderna completamente arredata. Le cabine includono T. V, servizi WIFI mentre sono circondati da 120 acri, tra cui splendide viste sul fiume San Juan.

This is a beautiful property! The cabin is very spacious and cozy. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Richie, the farm dog, was the best! He escorted us on our walks and played with our dog. Great place to stay, close to the ski slopes and town! There are things for everyone to do if not a skier. We would love to return to Sunset Ranch for our next winter vacation!

Absolutely loved this cabin! So clean and inviting, the ranch where the cabin is located is fantastic, the beautiful San Juan River running through the property, resident friendly dogs, horses, cattle etc. We loved it so much we are planning another trip in the new year. Added special touch is that the cabin was decorated outside with Christmas lights! Nice getaway with great views and a wonderful down home country feel!!!!

Family Ski Trip

This is a lovely, cozy cabin. It is perfectly situated at the edge of Pagosa Springs, offering easy access to Wolfcreek Ski area. The grounds are beautiful and the resident greeter, Richie, is an added bonus.

Retreat from the Texas heat

We traveled from Texas to Pagosa for a family wedding. We wanted a stay that offered options for the kids but but still maintained a secluded feel.

Very Very Nice

The cabin was in a perfect location the property was beautiful the fishing was great. I would have no problem staying there again. The only issue we had was they just didn't return your call as fast as you would expect.

Beautiful!

Fantastic! Ritchie was a constant, loveable chunk. At times too much, but manageable. I don't feel I exploited the fishing opportunities available. Proximity to town is perfect.

Rock House

I stayed at the rock house for about a week with my dog and it was perfect. We were able to play fetch in the front yard and my dog loved being able to explore around the river. The property is extremely convenient to downtown and to wolf creek in the in the other direction. If I go back to wolf creek again, i hope to be able to stay there ahain.

Terrific place to stay

It’s a beautiful property close to town and in a spectacular setting. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of room for moving around. We also very much enjoyed getting to know the owners dog, Richie. We definitely want to return.

Christmas Time in Pagosa

The cabin and property are absolutely charming. Upon arrival the cabins and main house were lit up with Christmas lights. The cabin was decorated as well. There was even a small Christmas tree . There were Christmas towels in the kitchen, and peppermint scented soap in the bathroom . It was perfect! We look forward to staying here again.

Wonderful Property

My family loved it here! We fished the river each afternoon and the pond in the evening. We caught lots of big bass in the pond. Ritchie the dog was our favorite part. Ritchie showed us all around the property. The cabin had everything we needed for our long weekend.

Perfect location & family friendly

This property was absolutely perfect. Between the location to wolf creek and proximity to Pagosa, it was very easy to get around. The cabin and property itself is absolutely perfect for families with kids. We got to walk around and pet the horses, cows, and walked down to the river several times. Ritchie was the highlight of the stay. He was so sweet and very good with the kids. Otis came down for a visit and to play a little too, he played good with the kids. Ernie was very nice and told us where we could go and how to get around the property as well. The cabin was clean and had plenty of supplies to get us through the stay. Very well maintained and accurate description.

Loved our Rock House cabin! We were greeted by Richie and the cats. The cabin was so open and airy with windows all around. The only complaint was there were a few spiders in the bathroom, but all in all, it was a sweet place to stay! We didn't get to meet the ranch owners since we were on the go, but from reviews, they read as great people. Enjoyed watching the horses, geese, and cattle in the field.

the property was great for location and we had our two dogs so it worked out fine. no one greated us or asked if we needed info. Could not get tv to work first night. No access to river that we could see. Owners dog was sweet but always staring in our door. Add said you can fish the pond but it was all fenced in.

Beautiful but not for us

Cabin was neat and clean. Property was beautiful but both cabin and property were not as we expected. We were expecting the river to be close by and the lake to be accessible. The river is a long walk behind barns down a rutted path. We never found the correct path even after two tries and asking for directions. But it wouldn’t have mattered. We had hoped to paddle boat but it was in the barn for repairs. Sitting alongside a river was a big reason we rented the cabin. That was a huge disappointment. A window in the cabin was broken and note said not to open. We were not able to get any television. And a small complaint is that there was no facial tissue. The property manager was very nice. So were the owners. And especially so Ritchie and Otis the resident dogs. It’s beautiful but really meant as a cabin for fishermen. Not as a getaway for an older couple looking to chill by a river.

Beatiful Cabin and Surroundings

Rock Cabin was a quiet and peaceful place to stay. It was spacious for the 2 of us, with lots of windows to enjoy the views. We enjoyed our walks down to the river and lake. Redwing blackbird fledgings were on the ground, and three geese pairs had goslings on the lake. The only downside was, because of our schedule being away most of the day at a family reunion, we weren't able to connect with the hosts to pay our pet fee via credit card. I thought we'd have the cash to pay, but it turned out we were short of cash after paying some other costs. The directions state to pay the pet fee via credit card upon arrival, but I never did figure out where or how to pay this fee, although I left messages as to when we'd be at the cabin. I told people on the grounds we'd be leaving early on our day out. We left most of our remaining cash on the table (we weren't able to use debit cards to get cash at the store). This is why I give this location 4 instead of 5 stars. It would also be helpful, if possible, to have reflector lights indicating where the driveway turn is. If you are returning from Pagosa Springs at night like we were, it's really dark on the road at twilight/night. We found the driveway by locating the bright yellow spotlight on the barn. Otherwise, this was a wonderful stay and we were able to recommend it to family members who had been looking for, but couldn't find, a (safe)place to bring their dogs to Pagosa Springs.

Great location, poor communication, and low hospitality.

The location is amazing. The rock house was a comfortable stay. BUT! What lacked was the communication and clarity. We discussed bringing our dogs before arriving but yet we were not told that the dogs couldn't be left alone in the cabin until after we left and came back. Then insisted on rudely telling our wives that it was in the listing and email that it wasn't allowed. We looked over all emails and listing info and there was nothing regarding that. We would've changed our plans but instead we were stuck apologizing for something we didn't know. Also they decided to put the sprinklers on constantly out front of our cabin. There was a time when i had my suv trunk open and they moved the sprinkler and it was spraying in my car. I understand they have weddings on site and need to upkeep but watering your grass can wait till guests are gone or sleeping. Two of our friends arrived late the first day and arrived in the top entrance and accidently drove over the grass (11pm at night) They also yelled at us for going in the wrong entrance at night and driving on the grass. The grass thing we deeply apologized for but coming in a different entrance and accusing us that GPS doesn't work up here was like come on? Don't have 2 entrances open if you didn't want people using it. Again the location and property are awesome. But the respect and information provided was minimal. Also don't bring your dogs here if you plan on living your life and going out to get food and drinks.
