Great stay!
This property was right in the heart of Palermo with an easy walk to so many different destinations. The communications with our hosts were great and very helpful to solve small problems. The hot water in the shower was not the quickest to come out but we made it work. The amenities were all there, the space was bright and the airflow was wonderful. We could not have asked more for the views as well. Certainly hoping to return soon.

Perfect location and kind hospitality
I stayed for 5 nights in February. Elena made a lot of suggestions and kind support for me before and during my stay at the apartment. The location of the apartment is real city centre of Palermo and it’s perfect. I went to many places from the apartment and everything is walkable distance. The room on the top floor is comfortable and quiet. I really enjoyed Palermo and the suburbs.

Excellent séjour.
L'ensemble est très bien mais il faudrait quelques produits de base ( nous avons été obligé d'aller acheter du liquide vaisselle et de la lessive!) Le matériel des cuisine est trop "bas de gamme" Tout le reste est "TOP"

Das Objekt liegt perfekt in der Altstadt. Man kann alles gut zu Fuß erreichen. Bars und Restaurants sind direkt vor der Haustür. Aber trotzdem ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig. Vom Balkon hat man einen super Blick über die Dächer.

Perfect location
We enjoyed our stay a lot. Andrea welcomed us in person and gave a lot of recommendations for Palermo. The penthouse is located in the very city center (near Quattro Canti), so restaurants, bars, shops, and street markets are all in close walking distance. Nevertheless it is very quiet at night, high above the streets at the topmost floor with two balconies. Beds are very comfortable. The car can be put in surveilled car parking nearby. Thanks so much!

Tolle Lage, prima Appartement
Für einen Aufenthalt in Palermo optimal. Geräumig, sauber, gutes Bett und die Lage ist nicht zu tippen. Einziger Minuspunkt: Wir mussten lange auf Andrea warten. Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto ist nichts für schlechte Nerven….und man sollte wissen, dass man das Auto inklusive Schlüssel in die Obhut des Parkwächters gibt. Wenn man es haben will, muss man etwa mit 20 Minuten rechnen. Abgesehen davon: Klasse! Wenn wir noch einmal inPalermo sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wiede.

Perfect location
The apartment is very close to all of the historical sights. There are lots of good restaurants close by. The recommendations in the handbook left by the owner are all good. The beds (including the sofa bed) are very comfortable. The apartment is spotlessly clean. We had a great time.

When can we return?
This comfortable apartment in a secure building has a generous balcony overlooking the rooftops. It is large and has everything to make your stay perfect. The bed is comfortable and the shower is easy to use with plenty of hot water. The inclusions are quality. The apartment is in a great position in the middle of the town within easy walking distance of many monuments, but also with easy access to public transport. There are many very good restaurants and cafes close by. Our hosts were both charming and helpful.

In the middle of things.
The apartment was right in the middle of the old town area. Very clean, almost new, well equipped and comfortable. Balcony was a nice addition. We walked to most restaurants nearby. We would return.

Excellent penthouse apartment in the center of the city
Elena, Andrea, Luigi and Alessandro were an excellent team coordinating every aspect of our stay. We loved relaxing on the balcony eating breakfast, having aperitivo, and watching the birds. Complete privacy, and not to worry, the San Mateo church bells right beside us did not ring the entire time we were here. Definitely take the convent and roof tour of the Santa Caterina Monastery across the street and don’t forget to get fresh pastries and cannoli in the bakery once operated by the nuns. This is a magical apartment in the heart of a historic city! Thank you for making it the perfect stay!

Great apartment
We stayed here for eight nights. This is a lovely apartment in a great location. Easy walking to many sites. We enjoyed the outside terrace. Andrea helpfully arranged transfer to the airport.

L’Penthouse March 21-April 8
We loved this apartment. It was right in the historical part of the city and close to many restaurants, shops and landmarks like Quattro Canti. Luigi the doorman always greeted us so nicely and we felt very safe there. We loved the balconies. Had breakfast out there each morning. The kitchen is pretty well equipped with microwave and stovetop but no oven or toaster. If you are going to the big Carrefour Suoermarket, plannon taking a cab at least from the grocery store because it is a bit of a walk when carrying lots of stuff. There are a couple of very small stores in the same block as the apartment for very basic things. When we arrived Elena said she was going out of town so her brother would answer any questions we might have. Her brother was very nice and we met his son as well. She had initially emailed us and said she would cook a meal for us if we wanted. We were a little disappointed that she was going to be gone and couldn’t do that. No reflection on the apartment though. We would very much recommend it!

Great apartment, incredible location for walking around Palermo!
We had a very nice stay in the apartment. I brought up a couple of things with the owner Elena and she was very responsive to my suggestions to improve a couple of things. I would encourage renting this apartment...also her nephew Andrea was great...very helpful and responsible and even ordered a taxi for us to the airport on our final day. Bravo!

Great access to city!

Just loved it!
We had a most wonderful stay in this apartment. Everything was provided to make it a comfortable and relaxing stay in Palermo which is exactly what we needed. Comfy bed, lovely shower, adequately equipped kitchen but we didn’t do any cooking as eating out is so reasonable in Palermo and the food, so delicious. The 2 balconies made it perfect! Even although the apartment is right in the historic centre of Palermo, the Quattro Canti, it is very quiet, on the 6th floor and at the back of the building. The street outside is limited to vehicles so there is little traffic noise. Our greatest pleasure was just wandering the streets, visiting the markets, eating yummy food and sitting in street cafes watching the world go by. We also went to Cefalù (twice) by train, and Monreale and Mondello, by bus. All very easy and accessible. We will definitely be back! Thank you Elena. Your advice on getting the shared taxi service from and to the airport was excellent. Quick and just as cheap as the bus.

It's all about the location!
Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying that the apartment wasn't fantastic because it was, but it's position in the centre of old Palermo was the key to our enjoyment. We stayed there for six days and it is situated only a few steps from the Quattro Canto the beating heart of the old city. We were met by Andrea, Elena's charming nephew who quickly showed us how everything worked and gave us some great local restaurant recommendations. We had a car but Elena arranged a secure reserved space for us in the basement of the building for an extra €10 per day. Do note that the apartment is in the ZTL (Zone of Traffic Limitation) and you have to pay €5 a day if you want to drive in the ZTL during the week - weekends free. You can buy ZTL scratchcards from most tobacco shops and then text the code to a central number. The air conditioned apartment is on the top floor, is accessed via a lift and has views east across rooftops. It has all the expected facilities to suit a couple but can sleep four at a push. Everywhere is walkable and we only used the car a couple of times to visit Monreale and the coast at Mondello. Don't hesitate to stay at L'Penthouse 261 if you're in Palermo - you'll love it.

A great apartment, location, location
As we often do we managed to get lost on our way to the apartment so we were late arriving. Andrea was very understanding and directed us to the flat and the parking lot. The flat was on the free bus route so that was great for an over view of the city. Two lovely balconies for morning coffee. Well equipped kitchen. Close to everything including restaurants recommended by Andrea. We will return and tell our family and friends. Thank you

The place to stay to make the most of fantastic Palermo
A wonderful location to walk to all parts of the city. Totally comfortable and clean with all the amenities with a view just like the picture. The manager lives in the building and is easily available, however we did not need him. The recommended restaurants were excellent. Palermo food, from the street food to the Michelin stars is equal to the best. The bar opposite has excellent coffee and pastries as well as lunch snacks.

You will not find a better location!!! So convenient to everything
The apartment has 2 terraces, a washing machine and is super clean and modern!!! Do not miss Palermo!!!! The churches there are like none other and the food can not be beat!!!! There is a coffee bar right across the street, a taxi stand and up a few steps is a big church and piazza. We could not believe how nice our flat was and how super the location is- in the dead center of the city!!! You will be cordially greeted and introduced to the city.

Top location
The location was perfect for walking to all Palermo main sites and getting public transport for Monreale/Cefalu etc. Having air conditioning and being on the top floor were a bonus during the heat. It was also fairly peaceful. There was a friendly concierge on hand during the day. The flat had everything we needed for our week's holiday and Andrea gave us a warm welcome and useful tips when we arrived. We had a lovely relaxing week and we loved Palermo.

Very Impressed
We stayed at Elena's property from 26-31/12/16. We were well received by Andrea in Elena's absence. the apartment was clean and everything worked including fast wi-fi. The location is absolutely brilliant and we walked to many of the sights and to the central station and bus stops. Thank you Elena and we will certainly recommend your apartment and if we return to Palermo will use it again.

Fantastic apartment in the city center
We had a wonderful stay at Elena's apartment! The apartment is absolutely beautiful, very modern, with two balconies from which you can look out over the rooftops and churches of downtown palermo. The location is great, just a fifteen minute walk from the train station. It is just a short walk to the waterfront, and the shopping on via roma and via maqueda. Finally, Elena is a most gracious host. She lives in the same apartment complex, and while she gave us our privacy, when we did have a problem of our own making she was attentive and solved it quickly. We loved Palermo, and when we return we will definitely stay at this apartment.
