“The location was perfect and our room was lovely and clean. Nice pubs and Londis within walking distance. Owners, Kel and Mel were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area, giving directions to walks along the canal and the history of the local area. The cooked breakfast was outstanding!”

“We stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for a pitstop, and what a find! We originally planned for one night but enjoyed it so much we extended our stay to two. Olivia was great, she was welcoming, friendly, and went out of her way to make us feel accommodated, the zip wire, archery and axe throwing activities were great fun for our children. “Room.was very clean with a few little extra touches. Staff were very helpful. Not luxurious but perfectly acceptable for a couple of nights. Breakfast was good for an extra payment. Convenient location for town. Would definitely use again. ”

“Really nice room. Cosy bar and restaurant. The Four out of five for the staff because they sat around us chatting whilst we were having breakfast. It felt a little like we were in the way of their conversation. Dined here on two evenings and one breakfast. Very good meals apart from a massively overpriced “cauliflower steak” - ordered out of curiosity but I should have asked first. It was just a roasted head of cauliflower… and not that big a one, either, but the price didn’t reflect...

“Excellent staff. We were delayed by bad weather and arrived late, just as the chef told reception that he’d finished service. He immediately asked what we’d like to eat and prepared us a great dinner. The general manager and breakfast waitress were also very helpful and friendly. ”

“I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). ”
