“Our host as very accommodating and responded to anything we needed. The daylight lower apartment is nicely set up. We could see a little view of trees and the water from the small deck with a surrounding flowering garden.We were able to make meals on the hot plate and small refrigerator provided. A microwave and coffee pot is available too. The bathroom is beautiful and the bed comfortable. It was in a neighborhood, so stores are 20 to 30 minutes away. But we appreciated the quiet and snorkling...

“This is a wonderful place and Elizabeth is very friendly and helpful. Steps from amazing snorkeling and a short drive to the place of refuge and two step. Easy drive up to Kona for nightlife if you’re interested. Kitchen is well equipped, bedrooms are comfortable. Gets hot if there is no breeze but that’s pretty rare and you can always cool off in K Bay!”

“My family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights. It fit our needs perfect. Very cute a cozy. We spent most days exploring the island and Mongoose Manor gave us a nice place to rest. Great relaxing views. It is a good central spot between Kona and Hilo, especially if you would like to explore both sides separately. Great experience all around.”

“This is a beautiful place. Plenty of room for our family. 3rd bedroom does have a separate entrance but, it was fine for our older kids! Beautiful drive to get there and beautiful views. It is a drive from bigger areas but, we travelled most of the island so it was kinda in the middle. Would definitely stay there again”

“My husband and I went with our three children, son in law and our three grandkids. The house was perfect for the 9 of us. We spent a lot of time in the morning and evening on the lanai. It was so peaceful and there is Manini Beach Park where you can get in the ocean that’s about a 5 minute walk. Some mornings we would walk down Manini Beach road just a little ways and sit on the rocks and drink our coffee and watch the ocean. Dharma and Catherine were amazing caretakers. “The house has a great layout that was comfortable for 6. The views are wonderful, especially the view of the ocean from the deck. It was a very short walk to a quiet little beach which we liked much better than the big-named beaches. The place was easy to keep clean with an outside shower for rinsing off. It’s a bait of a drive for groceries or restaurants, so plan ahead. But the neighborhood is really pretty and this house is beautiful. All around we had a fabulous week. ”

“Fantastic home and location in Captain Cook. Felt like we were in a treehouse on the bay. Well appointed home and kitchen with everything you could need. Incredible views and spacious enough for 6 adults and one kid to do everything we wanted. Plenty of fans to keep the house cool and we truly had a magical stay! ”
