“The Marlborough is a pub with tasty food and about five rooms for overnight stays. The staff is outstanding and does everything possible to be helpful. It is on a central street of a very small town, so it can be a bit noisy during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. “Had an amazing stay! Room was fantastic! So no what we was expecting, we only booked last minute over the bank holiday weekend as we had a funeral nearby.
Everything about the room was excellent, clean, modern, gorgeous shower.
We ate in the pub restaurant, the food was superb.
Breakfast was excellent! So much choice. The staff were so welcoming and friendly
Highly recommend this place to stay or just eat and drink.

“Visually the place makes a very good impact. Dinner, the food was excellent as were the staff.
Breakfast … we’d booked it at check in. We turned up to breakfast and there was nothing booked , the service at breakfast was okay , we did have to case up something.
But overall we had a very good stay and would return.”

Superb meals in the elegant Carrier drawing room.
Slight downside in that we were kept waiting to sign in. Disappointing that mostly the flowers on display were artificial, despite having a cut-flower garden outside.”

“The staff were very helpful from the moment I arrived. I needed to book an additional night and thought that might mean a different room for two nights as Expedia said they couldn’t do at their end. They were very accommodating and gave me a room upgrade which was lovely. They carried my luggage to my room. Breakfast was amazing. Servers were friendly. The front desk agent arranged transportation for me when I left. A very pleasant stay. ”
