“We had high hopes when we arrived at Shangri-la Golden Sands and the staff were nothing but polite, pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. However, we quickly noticed that our bathrooms weren’t the cleanest - there strands of hair everywhere and a slight smell of sewer. There were plumbing issues - which the hotel fixed upon request. The dinner buffet was very mediocre and somewhat disappointing- only because I associated Shangri-la with better buffet food.”

“Got a room that was supposed to have sea view but we only got the horizon part as the lower view was obscured by another block (but only 2 storey). Apart from the above, Lone Pine is a superb resort for those who love basking under the shades of tropical trees and pines too, has well maintained and clean facilities, enjoying the serenity of Batu Ferringhi. Food (breakfast) and drinks were very good too. The play room has large TV screen and we actually stayed up till 1am to watch Champions'...

“Spotless room. Great amenities. Staff; kind and friendly…helpful. Our main issue was that it’s not *our* typical hotel experience. We were there for 6-days and had some pleasant day and a few issues with the way of managed us as customers. *The check-in and check-out process was our biggest challenge: They required a *cash only* deposit…something I may have missed on the app when reserving. “Bed was comfy! Location is very convenient as there are bus stops, restaurants and convenient stores in walking distance. 1 thing tho we finished our glass bottle of water in the room but it was not refilled the next day. Probably need to request for it to be refilled. ”
