Best of Both Worlds. Half forest-half downtown

Reconnect. Unplug. Get inspired. This amazing space for singles, couples out a plus one. Gaze for hours into the stunning moss & fern draped walls of the enchanted Forest Park from this 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom space nestled on a stunning creek bed. The fun and quirky space gives every guest a perfect, authentic Portland experience. Uber or Lyft has you 5 minutes from NW 23rd- providing the perfect balance of city and nature.
The space
Cozy and eclectic, the space is on the forest level of our home with completely separate everything. It is a perfect retreat for a break from city life but still satisfies the need for modern amenities. Wood laminate floors throughout and renovated kitchen.
Guest access
The 2.6 acre yard is yours to explore and enjoy.
Other things to note
We are on a winding rd and the turn into the drive is sharp and bumpy so don’t be surprised if you miss it a time or two. It gets DARK out here at night. Super dark. So turn on your phone’s flashlight until you get your footing. We rent our entire home whenever we travel so we also understand the need to feel at home in a clean and easily accessible environment. Reach out anytime for any help you may need.

  • The California Condor was a common sight along the Columbia River in Lewis and Clark's day. By the early 1980's, there were only twenty-two left on the face of the planet, all in California. Today, thanks to a massive effort to re-populate the species via in-captivity pairing, there are some two-hundred members. But their recovery is far from assured. The Oregon Zoo has undertaken its own recovery effort whose ultimate goal is the re-introduction of the species into the protected wilderness area around the Columbia River Gorge. In short, to bring them home. For now, they live out their days in a vast, outdoor aviary designed specifically to mimic their habitat in the wild. If you have never seen one up close before, I urge you to come take a look. They are larger than any flying bird you will ever see, unless you go to Peru. And though black and white practically from head to toe, their plumage shines and reflects the light like dark, polished metal. If that doesn't suit your fancy, I will tell you that, as with all big birds, if you wait around long enough, they will do something so awe-inspiring that it will take your breath away, and something so goofy that you will laugh out loud.
