“Our stay at Casa do Rio was exceptional. There are 10 rooms with stunning views of the Douro River and vineyards. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and we were welcomed with a plate of fresh figs and white port and all ingredients to make portonics. “The perfect hotel for myself and partner. Staff were incredible, breakfast was amazing. The hotel has a history and continues to produce wine and grow fruits. The pool and jacuzzi have a fantastic view over camara de lobos, which is about a 20 minute walk down the hill. We walked back up twice but a taxi is a good option for getting back. Thank you to the staff who looked after us, we'd love to return.”
