There are spectacular sea views from this beautiful villa with steps enticingly leading down to a rocky platform by the sea. Casa Ariel is within walking distance of the gorgeously photogenic Positano on the Amalfi coast, with easy access to the island of Capri and the spectacular port of Amalfi. From Casa Ariel, you will have direct access to the sea and to a public beach, partly gravel and partly rocky-ideal for nature lovers and those seeking a more authentic coastal experience. The beach is reached via a public walkway carved into the rocky cliffside, featuring approximately 260 steps and offering breathtaking views along the way. To reach the villa itself from street level, you'll go down a stairway consisting of about 36 steps.
Terraced levels, so typical of villas along this coast, comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. Each of the five en suite double bedrooms in the air-conditioned main house has access to terraces or small balconies, just perfect for watching the boats bobbing on the blue waters below.
Watch the colours of the sea and sky change as you dine together beneath the wisteria covered pergola on the upper terrace next to the spacious living and dining area. Casa Ariel features an inviting outdoor tub measuring 1.70 x 2.50 meters, perfect for a refreshing dip. Adjacent to the tub, you'll find an outdoor shower with hot water for added convenience.
There are two 25-m² terraces, the first accessed from the first-floor lounge, the second from the garden. Both terraces are partially shaded and furnished with tables, chairs and sun loungers.
Positano is famous for its peach, pink and terracotta buildings, art galleries, boutique shops and excellent restaurants. Its tiny winding roads tumble down to the pretty main beach where you can hire a beach chair in the shade and order a cool glass of wine. In the summer there are daily boat tours to Capri, Amalfi and the Sorrento peninsular as well as to the local bays and grottos. Hire a boat or kayak to visit quieter beaches or stay in the bay with a paddleboard.

Location:
Casa Ariel is located in a convenient setting about 2km from the edge of Positano, a picturesque beach town on the glorious Amalfi coast with easy access to Amalfi, Capri and the Sorrento peninsula.
The villa is 36 steps down from the coast road with available parking on the road above or in town, a walk away. There are a further 260 steps from the villa down a public footpath to the rocky platform by the azure water below - if you don’t feel like the walk, just enjoy the amazing sea views from one of the terraces!
Positano is famous for its peach, pink and terracotta buildings, art galleries, boutique shops, excellent restaurants and tiny roads winding their way down to the sea. Once you have reached the clean and pretty main beach, hire a chair under an umbrella and order a cool glass of wine during the summer months. Enjoy a moment of calm in the Santa Maria Church, renowned for its 13th century Black Madonna and Child and for being one of the most popular places for weddings in southern Italy.
Browse in the shops, looking out for the typical white linen clothing and the lemon flavoured or scented produce such as soap and limoncello. Take a local market tour, learn Italian culinary secrets at a cookery demonstration before a 4 course lunch or dinner at the home of a Positano local.
Take a boat tour or rent a private boat to the nearby grottos or jump on one of the daily summer ferries to Amalfi, Sorrento and Capri. Closer to home, there is paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling and scuba diving or a boat trip to Arienzo beach.
Climb up the stone staircases from Positano to the little town of Montepertuso at the foot of the Lattari Mountains or take the more strenuous Santa Maria del Castello trail from Positano to the little church above. Slightly further afield is “The Path of the Gods”, a glorious 5 mile trail between Agerola and Nocelle.
The spectacular port of Amalfi is only a half hour drive or a boat trip away. Spend a day here and visit the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea, wander through the Rione Vagliendola before a relaxing swim at one of the town beaches. If you have time, call into the tiny fishing village of Atrani near Amalfi, so loved by the Dutch artist, Escher. A few kilometres further inland is tranquil Ravello, known as “The City of Music” having attracted composers and artists over the centuries.
