Casa Marina is an 18th century historical villa in Positano of 280 m² with amazing panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the natural landscapes of the Amalfi Coast. Casa Marina has a great plus: no stairs to climb from the main road (very rare in Positano).
The villa features elegantly appointed interiors, two sophisticated and spacious living areas, a dining room (unique architecture with magnificent vaulted ceilings), two panoramic terraces with a patio (with table and chairs) overlooking Positano, and awe-inspiring views. Notably, the renowned Neapolitan playwright Eduardo De Filippo wrote his play "Il figlio di Pulcinella" in this house in Positano in 1958.
Split on two levels, the villa is suitable for confortably accomodating 6 people with one spacious double bedroom on the first level (with air conditioning in connecting and adjacent study/library) with ensuite bathroom with access from the study/library; on the second level, other two bedrooms (with air conditioning): a double one and a twin one, sharing another bathroom with access from the double bedroom (which is next to the one with the two single beds).
In all two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and two bathrooms with showers. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen and a small laundry.
All the villa, with independent entrance, is for your exclusive use during your stay.
An added value is the property's central, relaxing and convenient location in a very quiet area away from noises and trouble, with no steps to climb from the road (this is priceless for Positano).
The location of Casa Marina (district Chiesa Nuova in the upper part of Positano) is very convenient because there are no steps to climb from the main road (which is very rare in Positano), and only few meters from the bus stop (bus line "Interno Positano", stop "Chiesa Nuova", to Piazza dei Mulini where the pedestrian road to the beach "Spiaggia Grande" begins; bus line Sita to Sorrento or Amalfi), bar (Bar Internazionale, Yogoloso Positano), grocery store (Alimentari De Lucia, Angolo Gastronomico, Non Solo Frutta), restaurant (Il Grottino Azzurro, C'Era Una Volta) and tobacco and gift shop.
You can buy the bus ticket at "Bar Internazionale" or at the tobacconist (€ 1,30) or on board (€ 1,80).
The town center and both beaches of Positano (Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo) can be reached within a 15 minute walk downhill via the street and neighborhood stone stairs.
Possibility of private paid parking nearby (Parking Ma.cri, Parcheggio Anna, Parcheggio Carpineto) at about € 50/day for a medium car.
If you arrive in Positano by sea, since the harbor/beach area is pedestrian, to reach Casa Marina you need to walk up to Piazza dei Mulini and take the "Interno Positano" line bus to the "Chiesa Nuova" stop: in this case, please note that for carrying your luggages comfortably to Casa Marina, it is highly advised to use the "Positano Porter" service, which will bring for you the luggages from the dock to the house at the cost of € 10 per luggage. They are located down at the dock, or alternatively reachable by calling at +39089875310, english speaking too.
Tourist tax for the municipality of Positano to be paid cash at check in from 1 April to 31 October (€ 2,5 per person per night; excluding children under 10 years of age).
