“AC was great and actually turned it to heat as the evening was chilly. Everything was clean and tidy. Beds very comfortable and good shower !!”

“We’ve stayed in various Colonial Williamsburg properties over the past 50 years. We were disappointed with the Woodlands. The parking lots were filled with potholes and we had to dodge a few to get to our building. The elevator was located off the lobby which required walking a long distance once we reached our floor. A more centrally located elevator would have been much nicer. The room was comfortable and clean. All in all, it was ok, especially for one night, but we won’t stay there again.”

“This place was beautiful with very sweet staff! The breakfast was very flavorful, diverse, and served in a very lovely, chef fashion! The fresh fruit was my favorite! It was quiet, yet close enough to walk to town! I loved the colonial decor and atmosphere of my stay and would love to visit again some day!”

“Check in was good. Exercise room had several broken pieces of equipment. Fire alarm was set off at 545 by staff and no one knew what was going on. No shampoo or body wash in shower.”

“Hotel staff was kind but short with communication. The hotel was clean, but you could tell that it had a high turnover rate of customers. The lobby was very updated and welcoming. I would like to add that the toilets are very loud when flushing and you can hear people flushing their toilet from another room.”

The price was excellent and worked especially well since we were looking for a place that was simple, mainly a place to rest and sleep at night. “Fife and Drum is a wonderful place to stay in Williamsburg. The location is amazing because you can walk to the museums and restaurants. Check in and parking are very easy. The place itself is charming and they always have drinks and snacks available in their quaint dining area, as well as delicious breakfast options. We stayed in the Restoration room, which has somewhat odd decor, but on theme for the area. The only negative for me was the bed. The mattress was too hard for my back and it made...

“I love staying here”

“The rooms are very dirty with hairs everywhere and a lot of stains on the carpet. The breakfast is included in the price but... where is the breakfast? A coffee machine, some old donuts, cereals and nothing else is not breakfast. It should be better write: "breakfast is not included". Very bad experience, never again!! ”

“Great pet friendly hotel with great location. The breakfast was good. We noticed some fruits and veggies were not as fresh. The avocado toast was not good due to old avocadoes and tomatoes. The cantaloupes looked like they were ready to be tossed. The plates and eating utensils - some were wet and had old food stuck to them. The pancakes, hot omelettes and other items were very good. We would choose this hotel again!”
