“This was our 3rd visit to The Inn at South Stainley. We had 4 days and 3 nights and again we enjoyed ourselves. We had our dinner for 3 nights at The Inn which were filling and excellent. Likewise can be said for the breakfast we also had. The room we stayed in was in premises alongside The Inn which was of a high standard and serviced daily. Hopefully we will be back. Thanks”

“Great stay in a great pub/inn in a lovely village. Originally we were looking for somewhere near York and picked this place at random – so got lucky. Decent-sized, comfortable room, the beer 'proper' Yorkshire, and the food was excellent throughout – we could have eaten almost amything on the quite extensive menu. “I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”

“Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms.
