Private cottage w/a view, Dock, SUPs & Kayaks

Come relax on a private two acres, on beautiful Lake Murray! This lake cottage has everything you need for a fun family getaway! This home features an open living space, plenty of outdoor space w/a beach, private dock & launch, fire pit, SUPs, kayaks, arcade games, grill, picnic table, and fully equipped kitchen. Cook dinner while watching the sunset over the lake or take a short boat ride to a nearby lakefront restaurant for dinner. Lake Murray Boat Rentals deliver and are nearby!

Outdoor living: Lake Murray Access & views w/private beach, dock, boat launch, kayaks, paddle boards with life vests available (for babies and toddlers too), Fire Pit, Picnic Table, Outdoor Seating, Patio Seating, Outdoor Fridge, Gas Grill, Huge yard with loads of room for yard games.

Indoor living: Lake Views, flat screen smart tv, washer & dryer, fully stocked kitchen*, central A/C and heat as well as window units for complete comfort on those hot summer days, linens, towels, hair dryer, bathtub, and iron all included. Guest bedroom has an arcade (Ninja Turtles) for any rainy days at the lake.

Parking: gravel: plenty of space.

Dock: More than six feet of water at the end of the dock and is able to tie up most boats (fishing boats, pontoons, surf boats, etc. should not have a problem). Boat launch is large enough for our 23ft boat and is available to only our guests. Driveway has plenty of room to park your cars and boat trailer.

*kitchen has every appliance except a dishwasher*

The house has exclusive access to the private beach, front lawn overlooking the lake, patio, parking spaces closest to house, 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards, the kids corner in the outdoor building, and dock. The property is gated on two sides with an iron gate at the front entrance.
All other outdoor buildings are off limits to guests.

The home has fiber internet with 700Mbps speed.

Parties of any kind are strictly prohibited.
This property is a no smoking no vaping property and this is strictly enforced.
Pet friendly with paid pet fee.
You are responsible for your pet while on the property!

This lot is a gated with one of the best views on the lake, in a great location for easy access to lots of lake amenities!

*During winter months the lake is down. The view is the same, however the water has been drained, by Dominion, to the 360 line, making the cove shallow.

LOCATION: The property is located in a quiet cove in Prosperity within minutes of Dreher Island.

No Parties, No exceptions.
Family reunions and other events are allowed with pre approval and an additional fee.

The property and location was perfect for our week at Lake Murray for my husbands fishing tournament. The home had everything we expected and more. I worked remote for the week and my "office" on the screen porch was just perfect. The view is priceless!Lauren and Scott are great host.We will certainly stay there again when we go back.

Everything was as we expected. Very clean, lots of room. Location was perfect. We had our boat and was able to launch right at the house so that was great. Spent our evenings looking at the lake and the stars.

We stayed for a fishing tournament. Host was very helpful regarding boat parking. House is on a flat spacious lot with a great view of Lake Murray. There was a minor Heat/AC issue when we arrived but the host got it resolved as quickly as possible.

We wanted to check out South Carolina as a possible destination to visit and/or move when a house came up for sale that was a possibility. We found this VRBO available; contacted the owner & had a very easy time obtaining accommodations which were a serene setting and a much needed laid back change of pace allowing for a mental and physical recharge with the Canadian geese, egrets and space to walk our dogs with room to breathe! I can not thank them enough for allowing us to visit their little slice of heaven! I would definitely stay here again! Five Stars rating for the serenity!

This property was fantastic! It was too cold to enjoy any lake activities this trip, but we have already talked about going back to enjoy all the lake has to offer in the summer! The house is great, and very family friendly. The host was very responsive and quick to accommodate us and make our stay perfect. I have already recommended this property to friends and family!

Fabulous stay in a cozy and private location. Beautiful views with abundant wildlife on the property (deer, water fowl). Nice beach to launch one of the supplied kayaks. On a quiet part of the lake, that did not have much boat traffic, thus making kayaking all the more enjoyable. The home was very clean and well stocked. The owners were very communicative and provided helpful information about the area. Hoping to stay here again in the future!

Repeat visitors and our stay was just as great as it was last year. Arrived to a freshly cut yard, clean house, and a million dollar view! House was equipped with everything we needed. We cooked most of the nights (and had all of the cookware/utensils we needed) but there was a great Mexican restaurant 4 miles/8 min down the road we called for take out one night. Dock and ramp for the boat was in great shape. Large screened porch with comfortable seating, perfect for morning coffee or a night cap. The house and yard are truly pet friendly. Huge yard for our two dogs to do full zoomies, fetches in the water, and nap in the sun. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We had a relaxing stay at this quaint little cottage! The views from both the porch and water’s edge chairs were so peaceful. The temperature wasn’t quite warm enough for the standup paddle boards but we did enjoy the kayaks. The cottage had everything we needed for our short stay. We spent 3 weeks at the cottage on the amazing Lake Murray! We came from Michigan with a bass boat and a 12 year old Weimaraner Niki seeking sunshine while working remote. The cottage is exactly as described, comfortable, clean, kitchen is well equipped. Internet is great, never had an issue. The lake front property is big compared to typical lake lots. Lauren and Scott are great hosts, always available if you have a question. Thank you for the generous pet policy! Niki enjoyed the space and swimming in the lake…in March! We would love to come back. Near by in Chapin, 17 min away, there are plenty of shops and restaurants. However, when you are at the cottage, you are in the country. It was wonderful to watch ospreys fishing and listening to the birds signing every morning!

My Family and I came down for the weekend because I was fishing in a bass tournament. We had a great relaxing weekend! The home was everything we were expecting and more. We relaxed out side by the fire pit and had S’mores! They even left treats for our six month old puppy!!! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone and I’ll definitely try to stay here again next time I’m here! Thanks Lauren!!!!

My daughter and I and our two dogs loved our time at this property. This is a great property for adults, kids and dogs. The large yard, beach and dock were wonderful. We spent a lot of time on the paddle boards with our dogs and fishing from shore and the dock. The house was perfect...laundry right off the bathroom, comfortable beds and the screened in porch with great views. Lauren and Scott were great to work with and really are about their guests. We hope to come back and stay even longer.

All i can say is WOW what a beautiful part of the lake,it was so quiet and peaceful with so much wildlife!On top of all that we literally had the lake all to ourselves to kayak on cooler mornings and late evenings and swim during the mid day heat.We found ourselves most days enjoying the screened in porch just watching the wildlife and enjoying the peacefulness!!!Lauren had everything u need to make it feel just like home away from home,we will definitely be staying here in the future!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home is located in a quiet location that offers incredible lake views. Perfect cove to take advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards without heavy boat traffic and waves. The house was very clean and offered everything we needed for our stay. Very large lot that was great for our dogs and the dock was in great shape that accommodated our 23’ boat with no issues. Our boat / trailer was probably a little to big for the on-site ramp so we utilized the ramp at Dreher Island State Park which is less than 10 min away. Thank you for sharing your home and allowing us to have our dogs. We would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future.

We had a great experience. All the amenities were perfect. We were very grateful the house is truly pet friendly. The cove is quiet and the view was perfect off the porch. It was awesome seeing all the wildlife. The only improvement we might add is more air flow on the porch and maybe an adult outdoor game. The lawn is perfect for them. Thank you for sharing your home. Where to begin…this place was perfect for our visit. Arrived to a VERY clean home. The grass was cut. We had our two dogs with us. The yard was largely surrounded by water, so a good boundary for them to wonder but not get far or out of sight. The view from the yard and porch couldn’t be any better, tucked away but lovely views to the larger open water. Fun wildlife sightseeing too with deer, ducks, geese, and herons. Dock was in great condition, and ramp made it easy to put a boat in. Kept it in all week and easy to get out our last night. We didn’t take advantage of all of the other toys like kayaks and SUPs but this would have been a great location to use them. House was stocked with all the things we could need. Coffee maker (Keurig and carafe style), plenty of cookware, blender, grilling items, paper/tissue products, laundry soap, etc… House location was tucked away from town but close enough that we could run to the Lowe’s or Publix for any items. We stayed here for our anniversary and birthday and it was beyond the most perfect stay!! Zero complaints about the property. Lauren is extremely communicative, and literally the sweetest person I've experienced in all our stays at rental homes. We are absolutely booking this slice of heaven again!! Thank you, Lauren!! This is a lovely property owned by lovely people. Perfect for a family, the property itself was well-stocked with every conceivable thing to make time at the lake enjoyable. Even in bad weather the screened porch allowed us to watch Mother Nature do her thing from a safe position. The area is tucked away from town, but you are close enough to run back easily for groceries, etc. It is the perfect setting: Quiet and peaceful, but not too far from amenities should you need them. We had the opportunity to chat with one host and meet the other, and these are truly wonderful people. Our only regret was not staying longer. Thanks for a wonderful time!

This location was perfect for out weekend. Having 2 dogs and boys it was a perfect place to swim and strech your legs. Sit on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail in the evening and warch the deer and water was our favorite. We spent every night catfishing right off the docks. We want to rent this place each year from now on out.

If youre needing somewhere to go and get away for awhile, this place is perfect. Mornings on the screened in porch with coffee and nights by the fire will take care of the stress. Having the boat launch beside the dock was a huge plus. We took advantage of being able to leave our boat tied out all week and not having to trailer it everyday back and forth. This place is a must if youre needing to unwind or wanting to fish! Cant wait to go back.
