The Space:
Inside Ivan's Bella Vista, warm terracotta tones, handcrafted details, and comfortable furnishings create a relaxed atmosphere. Both bedrooms feature king beds with ensuite bathrooms, luxury bedding, and rainfall showers. The living and dining area opens to a private ocean-view terrace—ideal for sunset cocktails or morning coffee. A full kitchen with filtered water allows for cooking favorite meals. High-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi (up to 1 Gbps with backup) supports remote work and streaming.
Guests enjoy access, along with up to 3 other apartments in Villa Amistad, to the villa’s shared heated saltwater pool overlooking the bay, two shared terraces, an honor bar, BBQ grill, and daily housekeeping (Mon–Sat). Located in El Cerro, Puerto Vallarta’s historic hillside neighborhood, the villa is just a 5-minute walk to the Malecón and 10–20 minutes to Los Muertos Beach and the Romantic Zone. The walk is moderately uphill; for convenience, taxis and Ubers are easy to find and affordable.

Parking and drop-offs
Guests can drive up to the house to drop off luggage. While parking isn’t allowed in the alley, street parking is available nearby on adjacent streets. Guests and friends have never had an issue with their cars.
The Neighborhood:
Villa Amistad is located in El Cerro, one of Puerto Vallarta’s original hillside neighborhoods overlooking Banderas Bay. Our small cobblestone alley is home to long-time Mexican families, many single middle-aged to older women, and a few gay men — a close-knit community where neighbors know each other and look out for one another. It feels authentic, lived-in, and safe.
Guests love staying here because they can enjoy the energy of the city, then return to a peaceful, local neighborhood that still feels genuinely Mexican.
Getting Around:
The Romantic Zone, Centro, and 5 de Diciembre neighborhoods are all within walking distance—most places are 5–25 minutes away on foot. The hill up to the villa is moderate; guests who prefer not to walk are welcome to use the many Ubers and taxis readily available and affordable in this area. Local buses run along the main roads below and cost 10 pesos (exact change required).
Parking is not allowed on Arroyo del Pedregoso, but free street parking is available on nearby streets.

Families
Families with children are welcome, but please note the villa is not childproof. There is an unfenced pool, open stairs, low railings, and breakable artwork and pottery. No children’s furniture or toys are provided.
