Minori and Ravello are not to be missed. Stunning!
The view from the front windows and patio are absolutely stunning from this property. There were four adults staying here and we were well equipped with bedrooms and bathrooms. The stairs to the property were certainly doable with luggage as you can imagine this entire region is full of them and anything under 100 steps is a win. In Minori, which is a short walk 15 minutes down the road there are good places for meals and desserts. You can also walk to Amalfi from here otherwise you will need to hire a taxi to take you around especially if you want to see Ravello or the surrounding areas. Peter is more than willing to set anything up. Kitchen is set up for smaller group. The area is absolutely stunning and not to be missed.

A stay that could have been better
Our overall stay at the Star Fish house was ok. Communication with Peter was very easy and he was very responsive since the moment our booking was confirmed. Check in went smoothly, Peter greeted us in person and we were grateful that he helped us with our luggage and then at the end of our stay arranged transportation to bring us to our next destination. The house is comfortable although it could have been a bit cleaner and it definitely needs some updates. The view from the terrace is very beautiful, I just wish that the outdoor furniture was newer and cleaner. There were a couple of surprises. There was no internet because of the bad weather and it wasn’t fixed until our last day there. If we knew about it ahead of time, we would have been prepared. There is also a cat that lives on the terrace. It’s very cute and quiet, but uses any chance it gets to sneak into the house. Thankfully, nobody in our group is allergic, but I feel that this is something that should have been mentioned in the description. The biggest surprise and disappointment came when Peter claimed that we lost one of the house keys and misplaced the TV remote control and charged us for them. This has definitely put a damper on our experience. I’m very sorry to say that there won’t be a repeat visit.

Amazing View
Overall our experience at the Starfish House was wonderful. A few misleading amenities on the site however. The entire space is not air conditioned. One bedroom off the living room needed the door to be open to feel the a/c so no privacy. With reference to washer/dryer….you can wash but the dryer doesn’t work so be prepared to hang your wash on the line. We had a few ruffles with the parking of our car rental and retrieving it when needed so we don’t recommend bringing a vehicle. Otherwise a lovely house with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains and beaches.

A great way to see the area
Lovely apartment with incredibly helpful host. Walking distance to so many places we wanted to visit. Quiet at night. Clean and comfortable- felt at home away from home. Got to enjoy some local treasures (restaurants, private beach) thanks to our host Peter. Incredible views from almost every window. A truly lovely visit to the area.

Best place to stay
Wow! Amazing location, amazing view, amazing host. Peter is an excellent host. He truly goes above and beyond to care for his guests. He made our experience in Amalfi a memorable one. He made us feel like old time friends. Trust all of his recommendations, don’t think twice just do as Peter says. Peter is a local and knows his stuff. He will make your experience in Amalfi 10x better than what you expected. The property is spacious and in a great location between maori and Amalfi. You can walk to both easily. You walk alongside the two lane road overlooking the coast just like the locals do. So bring your walking shoes or rent scooters to get around. You can also take the local bus. We would definitely stay here again. thank you Peter and can’t wait to see you again!

A home away from home!
What a nice stay we had. Beautiful villa with all the amenities of home. Even thought we were visiting many places, we decided to have dinner their on our last night there. The views were astounding. And Carmen who was the property manager helped us tremendously which did not go unnoticed! Our go to place now when we’re back to the Amalfi coast! Everything was perfect!

Paradise in Amalfi
Durante muchas semanas buscamos una casa para nuestras vacaciones, queríamos un lugar en la Costa Amalfitana, pero que tuviera un aire local. Y llegamos a Star Fish House. Lo primero que nos impresionó fue la amabilidad de Peter para responder todas nuestras inquietudes. Hasta le pedimos grabar un video con el número de escaleras que debíamos subir a diario.... Acá la lista de lo que más nos gustó: 1. Las dos terrazas, no hay una vista mejor. Y el jardín es precioso. No hay piscina pero tiene un solarium con ducha. 2. La comodidad de la casa. Las piezas son espaciosas, las camas grandes, la cocina tiene de todo, el refrigerador hace sonar un pito si es que queda abierto, un baño tiene bidet, la ducha perfecta, aire acondicionado las 24 horas, conexión de wifi, plancha, lavadora de ropa y de platos de primer nivel. 3. Peter es el mejor chef de la zona. Cocina para sus invitados pasta y pescados. 4. Manu es una reina. Le mandas un whatsapp para pedirle cualquier cosa y no has tecleado el punto final y ya te contesta con la solución. 5. La mejor manicure está en Amalfi. (Dato de Manu) 6. Si quieres masajes, viene Federica. 7. Caminar a Minori todas las mañana es un gran panorama, solo 1,8 kms y casi todo de bajada. Allí compras el pan, la mozzarella y el prosciutto en una panadería familiar donde todos te sonríen. 8. Si quieres comprar licores, bolsas de naranja y todo aquello que te cansa acarrear, lo pides al supermercado y te lo vienen a dejar a la casa. Nuestras sugerencias: 1. No temerle a las escaleras. A los dos días no te das cuenta. 2. Comprar muchos tickets de bus y moverte en ellos, con paciencia, no siempre pasan a la hora. 3. Tener un buen repelente para los zancudos que están en toda la costa. 4. Además de Amalfi, Positano y Capri, ir a Ravello muchas veces, no mirar en menos Atrani, arrendar un auto (vía Peter) e ir a Pestum y Castellabate a comer pescados y mariscos. Pasar por alguna de las fábricas de mozzarella. 5. Arrendar un bote en Minori y recorrer la costa desde el mar. 6. Comprar pasticciotto de limón en Pasticceria Sal de Riso y comer tártaro de atún en la Locanda del Pescatore en Minori. 7. Visitar Salerno por la avenida Torrione hasta el puerto. Una belleza. 8. Si vienes en agosto, asistir a algún concierto en Ravello. 9. Sentarte en algún café de Amalfi en las tardes y mirar a la gente para adivinar sus vidas y nacionalidades. 10. Agradecer a la vida en cada minuto por tener la posibilidad de gozar este

More help than I ever expected!
What a beautiful location. Centrally located. Right in between Amalfi and Minori. The house is beautiful and had air conditioning. The washer works great and it was very convenient to be able to do laundry. Manuella was wonderful. From giving directions to making reservations, ordering pizza, to securing spaces at the beach! She was always available to answer any questions. She is even mailing a forgotten item! There were two couples and there was plenty of room for everyone. I would highly recommend staying at Starfish house! You won’t regret it! Thank you Manuella for all of your assistance. We had a wonderful time at your beautiful place😊

Beautiful Amalfi Coast Views
House is located on the main highway with unobstructed views of the coastline. It was a bit far to walk into Amalfi even though we did walk it a few times. I would suggest learning the bus schedules and routes before your stay. The house was nice and had most everything we needed. I wish it had a washer and dryer for clothes, but we managed to make it work. The property owners were wonderful to work with and even made arraignments for a driver to pick us up at the train station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Superbe vue et emplacement très agréable
La vue est tout simplement superbe. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'accueil de Peter et de son épouse qui ont toujours été à l'écoute. L'appartement est conforme aux photos de l'annonce. Comme toutes les villes de la côte, ce n'est pas facile d'être en voiture, surtout avec une voiture volumineuse mais Peter nous a proposé une solution de garage un peu plus loin que l'appartement et le propriétaire du garage a toujours été particulièrement serviable. Nous avons pu profiter de la mer et également vister Naples, Capri, Positano, le sentier des Dieux. Nous recommandons ! Robert

Starfish House is slice of heaven!
The view from Starfish House literally takes your breath away! Peter was a fantastic host - he accommodated our every need, was very responsive to every request, and his wife even had fresh herbs, vegetables and the makings for pasta dinner and breakfast ready upon our arrival. Every restaurant recommendation was perfect! Yes, there are steps to get up to the villa, but not a problem. You get used to them after the first trip up. The traffic was interesting, but never stopped us from walking into either Minori or Amalfi. The Starfish House is pretty much between those two, so a 15-20 minute walk either way gets you into a village. We could have stayed forever with that view! Starfish House is very well stocked with all you need. It was just the two of us and there was more than enough room. Thanks again Peter for everything!

Amazing views. The property is like being in a dream!
We stayed here four people two couples each has its own bedroom and bathroom the kitchen is stocked well there are two decks with outdoor shower and the views are spectacular. Peter is an amazing host he helped us get our laundry done and found us parking and was able to get us taxi when we need to go out for dinner. I highly recommend this property you will not be disappointed !

Superb Location
We rented a car that gave us very easy access to Amalfi, Sorrento, Salerno, Naples and our favorites, Positano and Ravello. But, you can take a bus too. Peter and his wife were great hosts. Laundry costs are extra, and parking costs 20 Euro per day. Amalfi coast is paradise. It's one of the best places on earth, and this house is a slice of heaven. Thank you, Peter and Manuella!

Fantastic Stay! Beautiful Amalfi!
First, I have to say that Peter is the MOST accommodating host you will ever find. We have multiple requests for car service since we were visiting for a wedding with many events and locations. Peter took care of everything! He welcomed us at his place, had the makings for pasta for us! Helped us with our luggage which was wonderful. Very comfortable and the patio views are amazing. We like to walk and walked to Amalfi for dinner! Again another wonderful experience. The house is close to a bus station to get to Ravello. All very convenient. Can’t thank you Peter enough for you generously taking care of us! Definitely recommend!

30 Wonderful days at the Starfish House!
We were fortunate to stay at the Starfish house for 30 days! From our first arrival, the hospitality was fantastic. Peter and Manuela met us upon arrival and had a perfect dinner prepared on the terrace at our request. The house was very comfortable, we had different guests each week and everyone was happy with their room and bathroom. We often had Peter and Manuela cook for all of us, always delicious. We truly enjoyed the beauty of our view and the big terrace at the top of those 59 steps, making each step worth it. Several days we just spent the day on the terrace having good times with friends. Anytime we needed something we could just ask Peter or Manuela, they made it so easy. Taxi's, food, location destinations, anything we needed and they were always checking in with us, so nice. Taxi's cost more than we expected and we found ourselves walking into Amalfi on a few occasions, it was fun. Our hosts became more than just our hosts, we consider them good friends and hope to see them here in the states soon! Carla and Marc

Starfish House was perfect for Amalfi vacation
We spent a week at the Starfish House and it was fantastic! Great location for day trips to Sorrento, Positano, and Ravello and close enough to Minori and Maori to walk ( although we chose to drive since it was easy to park). The villa is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace with panoramic views. Peter was helpful and willing to offer assistance if needed. We found the rented parking space to be convenient and easily accessible. You will not be disappointed with this vacation rental!

Unbelievable view and convenient location makes the starfish the place to enjoy Amalfi
The Starfish is very comfortable with perfect space for two couples or a small family. We and two of our friends stayed for four nights and enjoyed the patio, kitchen, comfortable beds & the two bathrooms. A quick, although adventurous, walk to Minori to enjoy food, shops & the ferry to other coastal spots. Peter was a fantastic host, helping us every step of the way to reach the villa. He even shared the little garden full of leafy greens with us. Thank you, peter! Best salad ever!

Amazing!
The Villa was beautiful with most gorgeous views of the coastline and the ocean . Peter met us at the house upon arrival and carried our bags up the several stairs that lead to the Villa . His wife left ingredients including fresh vegetables for supper that night if we didn't feel like going out after our travels . Peter leaves an iPhone in the Villa that he can be reached on and is rapid to respond to any questions regarding recommendations or any other concerns . We did Rent-A-Car which we parked around 100 m away and a friends of his garage. The cost to park was €20 a day . there are a lot of steps up to the Villa but all of us are in our 50s and not particularly athletic but were able to get up and down them. the location was a short distance to Almalfi as well as a short distance to Miori . Both towns were very beautiful . Electrical adapter is needed . It was a great base for our Amalfi Coast vacation!

Very nice house but the real special part of the Starfish house is the terrace.
Peter was great. Made reservations for us at 3 different restaurants during our stay - all very good. I requested him to have a cake, flowers, and Prosecco at the villa when we arrived since it was my wife’s birthday. He agreed and when we arrived, I don’t know who was more excited about it, my wife or Peter. The view is great and we enjoyed a dinner and breakfast every morning from the terrace. Peter provided some food to use, plus a garden, and with a few items from the Amalfi supermarket, we were able to cook some very nice Italian meals. The walk to Minori, Maiori, or Amalfi was always a fun and eventful time, if not down right scary at times along the narrow 2 lane road. But the walk is also full of wonderful sights to see.

Beautiful house with amazing views. Nice, quiet location. The owner Peter is extremely helpful and gave us advice on where to go, made us dinner reservations, had pizza ordered to the house for us, set up a private boat excursion and even cooked a private dinner for us at the house. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place.

Sit Back on the Terrace and Enjoy the View
Overall, a great experience. Owners were very accommodating and even provided fixings for breakfast and dinner. As Americans we love our air conditioning and the ones here keep you very cool. The view from the terrace was lovely. Only con is distance to closest town if you don’t have a car. Easy walk to Minori, but returning with packages is all uphill. Finding a taxi to take you the short distance is very expensive.

Amazing Vacation Property & Perfect Location!
We recently stayed at the Star Fish House for 6 amazing days and enjoyed both the house and the location immensley. The property is first rate - more than comfortable and well equipped with all that you need. The location is superb and allows easy access to every beautiful town along the Amalfi Coast. Peter was an outstanding host and arranged parking for us nearby as well as giving is the lowdown on all of the "local" hotspots. We enjoyed Ravello, Amalfi, Minori, Maiori and Positano and Peter's recommendation to dine at the Three Sisters in Positano was the best meal of our vacation. Without a doubt, the Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful spots in the world and the Star Fish Hose is the perfect place to use as home base.

Beautiful House and Location
We spent 5 days at the Starfish House. The house and views were absolutely perfect and amazing. Everything was as viewed on the website but more beautiful. Peter arranged a car for us from Naples and back to Naples which was extremely helpful and timely. Peter met us at the house when we arrived and provided us with some local information. There were some food provisions and fresh herbs to make a few meals which created an interest for us to shop and cook some of our meals at the house, which literally had the best view for meal. The house is located between the cities of Amalfi and Minori, each way is about 3/4-1 mile walk which we did multiple times. The walk is beautiful along the coast. There are buses but we enjoyed the walk. The Starfish House will forever be one of the most beautiful locations that we have stayed in all of our travels. Thank you Peter and Manuela for your generous hospitality.

Star Fish House is a beautiful property, well-maintained, clean, with small details that make it very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was well-stocked and Peter made us feel welcome by providing coffee, bread, juice, fruit, pasta, vegetables -- and fresh basil and parsley. The rooms are furnished with nice touches, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are adequately sized. Sitting on the terrace at Star Fish House at night is a highlight - Peter has candles available that make for a fantastic setting with the gorgeous views. After two days at the villa, we felt like we'd been there a week -- very relaxed and happy! We also had the benefit of getting to know the two cats that live on the property (the villa is attached to an upstairs home and another villa next door). The wifi connection did not work for us the entire time we were there. Star Fish House is on the very busy road between Amalfi and Minori. You can walk to both, a little over a mile each way, but you need to be comfortable walking in heavy traffic with no shoulder. Everybody does it, but it's not for the skittish. The nearest beach is .5 miles from the villa, down the traditional Amalfi set of steps. From Amalfi and Minori, you can also access ferries to other ports along the Amalfi coast, in addition to Capri. Transportation was an issue for us. Although there is a bus stop just down the street from the villa, the buses were always full so they never stopped and we ended up walking. Taxis were impossible to get and if we were lucky enough to find one available, they were way too expensive, and again, we opted for walking. Peter was great at arranging transportation for us to and from the Salerno train station, but that too was not inexpensive. If you don't like to walk, this probably isn't a good location for you.

Once in a lifetime Amalfi coast villa!!
Peter's house is a picturesque dream located in between Amalfi and Minori. Both in walking distance to experience the Amalfi coast as it is meant to be savored. Peter is very helpful in recommending fantastic local restaurants and even arranged transfer to the airport with a fantastic local driver Andrea. The views from the 2 terraces overlook the Mediterranean and rival any photo or postcard you could have ever seen of the Amalfi coast. We spent many evenings enjoying local limoncello and watching the full moon rise over the distant mountain and resting over the Mediterranean. It still makes me smile. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone who wants to experience a once in a lifetime chance to be on a perfect villa to experience all the Amalfi coast has to offer.

Great Views and Comfortable home in Minori
We stayed a week at this lovely property. Our hosts were very nice and provided us eggs, juice milk to get us started in the mornings, as well as pasta, veggies and tomato sauce for an easy dinner the first night. Peter was also available to help us haul our luggage up the couple flights of stairs to get to our hillside abode, though it rained the day he left and he could not come out to help us haul it all back down. To best help you decide, I will give you pros and cons from the perspective of a 50+ old woman: pros- 1) great views of minorI and its coastline 2) meat locker type AC!!! very important for my age! 3) immaculate house 4) Great seating outside 5) full sized frig with ice maker 6) helpful owners who offered much more than we took advantage of. Ask them lots of questions, they are very accommodating 7) situated away from the hustle and bustle of the beach and towns 8) plenty of hot water for showers....no tubs though 9) Woke up every morning with no back or neck pain....ie mattresses & pillows were ok 10) Fresh Tomatoes and basil right outside your door! 11) The owners can arrange delivery service for groceries and wine potential cons-1) stairs to climb, though my chubby legs did fine 2) no direct access to beach or pool-approx 10-15 minute walk to Minori beach all down hill 3) Street noise, was not horrible but does start early 4) parking is a 5 minute walk up a narrow windy road-we considered this part of the adventure! Salvatore and his wife were adorable. 5) only a few restaurants close to the house. The rest are 10-15 minute walk down to Minori. 6) pack light. hauling those suitcases downstairs were a challenge. All in all, I was happy with the property. I would recommend it if you are willing to walk the distance or drive. If you want a beach house, choose the Carribbean; the beaches in Amalfi are rocky. If the goal is to tour the Amalfi, you are about halfway between Positano and Salerno, at the base of Ravello. So it is a good starting point for day trips. I think we saw a bus stop close to us as well, and the water taxis can be picked up at the Minori.

Dream come true....
Our stay at Starfish House in July 2016 was amazing! Not only was the house beautiful and super comfortable but the views from every window and patio in the house were breathtaking. Our vacation was so much more special because Peter personally took care of us from the minute we arrived. When we asked him where to go for a great beach experience he set us up with private beach club access. When inquiring about touring a winery he set up the most amazing winery experience at Tenuta San Francesco Winery. Every dining experience he suggested whether it was in Minori or Positano was Suberb. We could call or text him at any time asking for a driver and he would handle it promptly. His drivers were always on time. Peter and his lovely wife Manuela treated us like family. We recommend the Starfish House enthusiastically and would return here in a flash.

Enerything we needed.
The location and views from this property were stunning. The walk into the small village of Minori was pleasant along the seaside road and although traffic was tretcherous I never felt unsafe. People walk everywhere here as witnessed by their lean bodies. I needed another month there! The furnishings in the home were not lavish but adequate and clean. We cooked many meals there and the pots and pans could have been a little nicer. There were plenty of plates, glasses etc for our use. By far the biggest amenity of this property besides the view was Peter, the proprietor. I had taken a hint from previous visitors that he was a wealth of help and information in getting around and scheduling tours. He arranged drivers, private tours and even a grocery delivery the day we arrived. He offers lemons, fresh basil, mint, and staples on his property, as well as Manuella's beautiful flowers. The wine tour and Pompeii/Herculeum tours were outstanding. We also arranged for a private driver another day during our stay and found Antonio to be one of the highlights of our trip. We will truly miss him as he was an intragal part of our week on the Amalfi coast. He was our private driver to and from Rome to Starfish house and twice during the week. There is a bus that can be caught near the road entrance to the property but it is not always reliable. It fills before it gets to this stop and and they won't stop for you. I understand this is a problem that only gets worse when the tourists descend in late May-Sept. Having a driver is expensive, but we found it less frustrating. Peter also gave us a cell phone to use during our stay. We had two other ones that worked so that was not a huge amenity to us, but it would be a nice plus if we had needed it. I would definitely recommend the property. As in most small villages and towns in Europe, cash is preferred to credit cards. Bring lots, ATM's are often not accessible or out of money. Overall it was very nice and I would recommend it to others.

Best ever
We have stayed in many rentals over the years but starfish is at the top of the list. The view from the patio unbelievable and the house is clean, comfortable and not lacking for any amenities. However the best part was getting to meet Peter and Manuela . Peter gave my husband a cooking lesson and made us a wonderful meal. We already miss them but not as much as Fifi!
