Our reservation was for 5 adults and 4 kids- I looked at hotels near the area but given the family size getting a private property is a lot more ideal. The house was clean and spacious. “Bring earplugs &/or white noise. You’re sharing a home with the hosts, so sounds from their living area leak past interior doors. Kudos to them for being willing to share an attached dwelling with strangers — I don’t think I could! Other things to be aware of: You may be charged $25 extra if unable to check in at the appointed time. The short access road is bumpy, dusty gravel. Otherwise, all routes are paved. Room was very clean and nicely appointed. It was nice to meet their dogs and cats...

“This little house was simply adorable. From the bunnies and turkeys to the front porch. It was perfect after long days in the park. Excellent location to multiple entrances. My only suggestion would be to add blackout curtains, especially for visitors coming from the east coast. It stayed light so long and it was difficult to fall asleep. “The house was everything we could have hoped for and more! Honestly, just perfect across the board. Hands down the best home we have ever had the opportunity to stay. Phenomenal communication with the Host. The coffee and wine upon arrival was a great touch! We loved the live oak tree in the back yard and the many species of birds and the deer walking nearby too! “It was in a quite residential area with room ( 5+ acres but we didn't walk the whole property ) and off the beaten path which I really wanted. The host's offering of EV charger was also extremely convenient. We'd have to drive 35 mins to Oakhurst to charge but we didn't have to so we were able to try the food places that we wanted in Mariposa side. Overall, it was quite a nice stay.”
