“Hotel staff was very helpful. There was an issue with Expedia booking, but the staff was able to handle it. The restaurant was amazing. Top quality food and the bartenders get a 5 star as well. Only thing I would point out is the exterior does not compliment the interior. I intend to stay here again.”

“We loved that this is an independent hotel and small business. The owner is a local and cares about Montclair. The interior is decorated brilliantly and has a clever motif. For example, the rooms don't have numbers, they have names. Inside each room you will find photos of famous people with that name. It's a fun game to guess who each of these people are and some of them may surprise you. Breakfast was included and some of the offerings came from local businesses. Parking was ample, which is a...

“My children immediately complained about the stale, musty odor. One is very sensitive to mold and was having some problems. They commented that it smelled like a nursing home. My room was spacious as was the bathroom. The air conditioner/heater had some sort of bags put in it (3 I think) to try to improve the smell. The breakfast was nice, with an attendant bringing fresh cooked foods often. ”

“No greeting at check in. This hotel advertises free breakfast but do not offer breakfast. No manager on duty. Early check in $30. No wifi /USB port in the room. Poor customer service. Avoid if possible. ”
