However, it could use some TLC in the cleaning department (indoors and out) as well as some attention to details to really make it shine. Arrival - there are wires where the doorbell should be and the keypad is a first-gen 10-digit code that requires code for entry and exit; also, the back door was wide open...

“This was an amazing place. Our kids loved the river and got to explore some. Quiet and peaceful. Will definitely stay here again when we are up that way.”

“The king bed frame in the right bedroom in the 2nd building was broken when we arrived, we were able to fix it enough to use. My son was able to temporarily fix the back door to the main house so it would close properly and not let in flies. There were lots of dead bees in the shuttle board box when we arrived, hopefully they were vacuumed up before the next visitors arrived. There were other areas that needed vacuuming, (under beds, under couch cushions, etc. We were so glad to have the pool....

“The views of the lake are really maximized. Lots of places to be within the house. Several rooms 2 patios 3 fire pits. I think I underestimated the amount of stairs. Yes the listing was clear but it was much steeper than I expected. The stairs could use better lighting for dusk. The dock/boat slip area could be easily improved with rope lighting in the boat slip patio area. The oven did not cook evenly. Burned our breakfast. The gas tanks for the grill were empty and sadly were not replaced...

“Smoke alarm Kept going off in the game Room. No battery for the igniter on the grill. Besides that everything else was amazing. The lake was 5 ft over its banks so it made it almost impossible to get into the water. ac in the bunk beds room isn’t Sufficient. Loved the house though.”

I rated the neighborhood lower because the morning we checked out we had to deal with 2 loose dogs that were not friendly. We loved the house and very much enjoyed our stay.
