“We stayed in the Double room with a view to die for! It was cosy and had everything you need. The staff were so lovely and friendly and Breakfast was just right! We would definitely stay here again, only thing was, we didnt have a couple more nights ! ”

“The hotel was ok for our 2 night stay. Bed was comfy. Tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer, iron were all good additives. Bathroom toilet was a little small but ok. Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was good. But a bit pricey. Walls a bit thin, guy in next room snoring and we could hear.”

“Would recommend The White Hart. Helpful staff, excellent rooms with very comfy beds. Good bathroom. Breakfast was very high standard and plentiful. I’ll be staying here again ”

“Only stayed one night, hotel was clean, if in need of a bit of an update. Room was at back of property, slight noise from aircon unit (i think, room did not have aircon) from early morning, didnt keep me awake just low hum in the background. Bathroom was clean, didnt use shower. Breakfast was nice but limited ro usual cooked breakfast items. Careals, pastries and toast. Ideal for grwat north showground, Harlow carr and in centre of Harrogate with parking available for booking”

“The room was clean and the staff friendly. I probably would not come here again mainly because they do not serve breakfast. Their website states that breakfast is made to order and I recall seeing it on the expedia page but then was notified a day before about where to go for food instead. I asked on arrival and they have not served breakfast in 3 years. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. The shower had someone else's soap in it and the body wash was never renewed after use. The window...

“Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.”

“Easy walk from train station. Not far from centre. Check in was quick. Rooms clean and comfortable. ”

“Lovely old hotel, faded elegance. Needs a refresh, weeds growing out of gutters. The lift soon went out of action, not a problem for us but difficult for elderly and infirm residents. Near the ballroom the glass roof had lots of serious cracks and smelt of damp. Loads of space in the car park. These are observations not criticisms. We did enjoy our stay.”

“Had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency and flight cancellation. Contacted all hotels we had booked—five refunded us without issue. Even Ryanair did. Cairn Hotel was the only one that flat-out refused, no empathy, no flexibility, not even a partial credit. I explained everything, even pleaded—but they just hid behind their “policy.” I could’ve paid more for the flexible rate, but budget was tight. Shame, because we were really looking forward to staying. Very disappointing experience.”
