“The fan in my heater made odd noises, but other than that everthing was super clean, quiet and comfortable.”

“I found the place pretty nice in comparison to others. The staff was nice but was hoping for some more flexibility when trying to swap rooms. The room was nice, the bathroom could use some love. There was some obvious quick fixes for previous problems that need to be fixed. I would also recommend some sound proofing, I could hear the cars outside and people stomping a little bit. Overall I would rate it 7/10.”

“The first time we came here we loved it, this time it was ok. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and breakfast was good. Towels seem to need to be washed better. Sheets as well. But overall I would stay again.”

“Overall, the rooms were well maintained and appeared to have been recently renovated in a quality manner. Parking was easy and the room smelled and looked very clean. I also appreciated the hotel giving me a call to verify my reservation before arrival. I did note it was pet friendly as well but no pet with us on this visit. In summary, I was pleasantly surprised & have paid a lot more to stay at a place that was not as nice as this location.”

“Very first day of our stay we were locked out of our room and key didn’t work. They attempted to unlock but even the master key didn’t work. Had to wait for maintenance the next morning at 11. Breakfast poor quality. Bright lights right outside the room at night. Bed quality was ok at best but everytime you’d flip over at night the base of bed would make a very loud noise. Would not stay here again.”

“From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The bed was super comfortable and the caretaker, Julianne was so professional. Sitting on the rockers reading a book enjoying a hot cup of coffee was the perfect way to start the end. Highly recommend!!”

“Property was clean and very nice. Staff was very helpful, even during our mid evening fire alarm. LOL Did not use much at the hotel but saw that they had a ton of stuff. Will definitely be returning during our kids stay at JMU!! Maryann Towell”

“The room itself was fine, but the outside is absolutely filthy. The stairs to the building looked like they had bad diarrhea. The price I received was phenomenal, but -- Expedia -- this is on you too. I reached out four times within the cancellation window and was put on hold for up to 16 minutes. I do not recommend this as a place to stay, and I will be thinking twice before booking through your website again.”

“Amazing stay - this Hyatt Place is only a few years old, immaculate, well-run, comfortable bed, great staff. Cassidy & Skye at the front desk were so kind & helpful. I highly recommend this hotel - a perfect stop on a long drive through VA.”
