Dear Cathy,Thank you for your message.We would like you to show us (and our legal team) where in Expedia's description you were misled.We wish to let you know that we have notified Expedia’s European Market Manager to report your review for serious misconduct on your part at check-in.Our private conversations were sent to Expedia, to also let the expedia management know how the power of reviews in the wrong hands can gratuitously smear a hotel that has nothing but honestly done its job. What you have described is absolutely another hotel and you are vilifying for no reason whatsoever our property (as per your previous warnings via messages) - all this because we did not cancel your reservation after you changed your mind.To our refusal it was thought well to discuss gratuitous infamities. Fortunately, among many other reviews, it is only you who wrote these things, since in the other reviews nobody made the kind of remarks that you describe.Please note that as of today we are consulting with our legal team on the appropriate actions to take. Dear Tametia,Thank you very much for choosing us to be your home away from home during your roman holidays.With regard to what we have read in your review, and in order for our future guests to get a broader idea about our services, please allow us to say a few words.We are very close to the Vatican (St. Peter's Square and the Basilica), it is only a few minutes walk away.The Hotel is placed in the spacious courtyard of a historic building (which has been location of some of the most famous Academy Award winner neorealism movies) with particular traits typical of the Vatican Prati area very appreciated by many of our guests.Regarding the ice, the credit card pos not working, and the other things you have mentioned, we wish to inform you that we had a new front desk clerk on training and unfortunately, as you very well remarked, and also based on other things we ourselves saw, he did not pass the following steps in the hiring process.It's true, the period of your stay the rates of our rooms were not of the cheapest, and that it is due to the market law and demand mechanism, but please rest assured that amid all the other hotels of our category we weren't among the highest ones.As for the rooms' characteristics, we would really like you to at least give us the fact that our Hotel is honestly featured and perfectly visible on all our selling channels, and our Reception area and breakfast room are cozy and perfectly fit the needs of our small property's guests.Your feedback is treasurable to us, and we are very well aware that there is always room for improvement, but please know that the path to perfection is the one we have committed to, and if we haven’t been up to your expectations, we wholeheartedly ask you to accept our apology.All this being said, we still hope to be your first choice should your future travels bring you back to Rome again.Warm RegardsValentino
