This place is a gem. The host was super pleasant and accommodating in every way. It’s big, with ac and heating, even a mini fridge. Very modern amenities but still kept the traditional look which was amazing for us. It’s located close to many of the restaurants as well as walking distance from all the major attractions. Would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to stay here again on my next visit. Only downside was no full body mirror but that’s very minor. This place is a full 20/10 rating 👌

Beds are 100 years old. No cover for the sheets. Water on the last day did not work. Rusty shower. Unsanitary room.

Nice place to stay at, center of everything
there was a slight confusion at first but it was quickly resolved due to the fast response time of the owner/owner’s sister which they were able to give a brief but thorough rundown of the hotel. it was in the center of EVERYTHING which was amazing. beds could be more comfortable & going up/down the stairs at night may be a little bit creepy but otherwise nice place!

This place could use an update, the bathroom is falling apart missing knobs in the shower. The matress is terrible, we had extra pillows and bedding in the closet, but it no actual linen for them.

This place is adorable!
It was exactly what an American wants from an economical room in Rome. The location was perfect. Close to everything! The room was absolutely charming with a window that opened to the street. The size was adequate and the antique furnishings were perfect. The woman who took care of the rooms was incredibly sweet and accommodating. The host was FANTASTIC and helped us in many ways during our visit. You should stay here!

Location was perfect, bars and restaurants on your doorstep and about 5-10 minute walk from the colosseum and Roman forum. The room was clean and tidy. What more could you want?! Would deffo recommend to anyone wanting to visit Rome.

The location of the property was marvelous. However, this is not a hotel, it is an Airbnb masquerading as such. There is no on site staff and their check in and check out process is exactly like an Airbnb, without the well thought out step by step process that is always provided before booking. I have never had such a bad customer service experience in the over 10 years I've been using Expedia. I do not think this property upholds the kind of consistent and quaity customer service I've come to expect from Expedia. Disappointed and rather stressful. Ontop of all that, the bed was atrociously uncomfortable. An old spring mattress that is probably over 25 years old.

ホテルの場所やチェックインの方法が少しわかりづらかったが、それ以外はとても良かった。オーナーの方もすごく気さくな方で、部屋もきれいでアメニティもすごく充実していた。

Visit like you live in Rome
If you want to stay in Rome near the Colosseum and feel like you live there this is a great experience. An apartment/hotel. Check-in seemed odd at first because the name does not appear on the exterior. Quickly though we were greeted by Martina who was very friendly and quite helpful. Only negative, no elevator. Quiet and private despite location.

Nice set up. Bath needed place to set up toiletries. Elevator was not accessible 2 flights up. No signage outside door. Had to call attendant to tell her I had arrived so came within minutes. Housekeeping was good

Buena estadía
Habitación amplia, la persona q nos recibió muy amable. Es un edificio antiguo, que en uno de los pisos tiene las habitaciones, de afuera no parece hotel, pero todo de 10, posee instalaciones nuevas y cómodas.

This is not a Hotel is a room in apartment and in is on the 2 floor by stairs, any way Laura was very helpful and carry up and down our (2 X 50 Pounds) luggage by herself on our arrival a departure. A/C is good and room is quiet. Should add some shampoo and soap hanger on bathtub.

Perfekt og sjarmerende beliggenhet
Flott beliggenhet. Et steinkast fra Colosseum. Svært sentralt i en behagelig og hyggelig bydel. Mange fine spisesteder i nærheten. Hotellet ligger i en sjarmerende og rolig sidegate. Vi kunne sove i total stillhet. Hyggelig mottakelse med mye god info. Eneste minus var en litt for hard seng, og det manglet espressomaskin og gratis flaskevann på rommet. Heldigvis kan man drikke springvannet.

The rep was very nice and welcoming. The only bad thing to say about this place is that we noticed a horrible smell...smelled like there was a dead person rotting in the room above us...that was worse in the bathroom. I think it was just old plumbing. Otherwise, it really was a great room!

Wir haben uns zum ersten Mal in Rom für ein Appartement entschieden. Das Haus war unglaublich schwer zu finden und nachdem das Navi mir 15 min verklickern wollte, dass der düstere Hauseingang tatsächlich für die nächsten drei Tage der Eingang zu unserem Appartement ist, musste auch ich es wohl oder übel glauben. Nur das Klingelschild deutete auf das Appartement hin. Fahrstuhlnutzung nur für feste Mieter, war aber egal, da wir nur Handgepäck hatten. Innen angekommen wurden wir aber für die Außenansicht hervorragend entschädigt. Die Vermieterin, die mit Sicherheit sehr nett ist, war doch sehr genervt über unser spätes Erscheinen, wofür wir allerdings aufgrund der großen Flugverspätung nichts konnten (ja, ich habe sie von unterwegs kontaktiert). Sie erklärte alles im Stakkato und war mit wehenden Haaren verschwunden. Per Mail gab es noch eine Info über Restaurants und Bars. Im großen und ganzen verfügt das "Hotel" über sehr hübsche und komfortable Zimmer. Die Lautstärke war in Ordnung, ebenso die Sauberkeit. Wenn man also erst mal weiß, wo man hin muss, dem bietet sich ein tolles Domizil für die Reise. Wer allerdings auf die Annehmlichkeit einer ständig besetzten Hotelrezeption nicht verzichten will, sollte doch besser in ein richtiges Hotel gehen. Frühstück gibt es hier selbstverständlich nicht. Es ist aber einfach ein wunderbares Erlebnis, sich in einem Café mit allen Anderen an den Tresen zu stellen und in italienischer Manier den Cappuccino und das Tramezzino zu genießen.

Good location and decoration of the room nice
The only "bad" thing was, that we did not really find the accommodation at the start. The rooms are located in a normal house and one floor belongs to the Madonna de' Monti Suites. But when the landlady arrieved she showed us the way and everything was clear. The room itself was nicely decorated and spaceous enough for two and the bed was comfortable. Besides this there was also a coffeemachine and two seating possibilities. The bathroom was quite new and also quite spaceous. We had a room to the street side, which means that with open windows you hear the noise from the bar from the opposite side (ice bar). But during the night it was not too loud. We could sleep with open windows. The landlady was very friendly and helpful and explained everything. After our arrival she sent us a mail with a lot of restaurant recommendations and infos about rome. At our departure day it was also possible to leave the luggage in the hallway. I would really recommend to leave the luggage there because at the main station it sometimes takes a long time to store the luggage and besides this it is quite pricey there.

Great hotel in a great area.
The hotel couldn't be in a better location. It's a block away from the Forum and just quick step from there to the Colosseum and other historic attractions. Dining in the area was great and it's on a quiet street. The hotel room was spacious, clean and had all modern amenities with touches of the historical elements of the building.

Good Location!
Good stay here at Madonna De' Monti Suites. Location is great because of its proximity to Termini station and the Roman forum. But finding the place was quite a challenge considering we've never been in Rome, plus the bad road condition and inclement weather. they are not located on the main road and there are no clear sign, so pay attention on the numbers. But as soon as we arrived, we were greeted very nicely by the owner who also helped us with the luggage. Laura gave us many tips for our visit in Rome and was very helpful. Room was spacious and has sufficient amenities. The bed comfort and noise damping could be better. Overall we really appreciate its location and we enjoyed our stay here.

Topplek, super gastvrij en authentiek!
Super plek. Dicht bij colloseum en gezellige steegjes en pleintjes de Monti. Prachtige suites met hoge plafonds en originele balken. Moderne badkamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Laura is een fantastische gastvrouw bovendien. Zou zo weer hier boeken.

Terrific price and location, unfortunate service
Should be clear you have to call ahead for access. We had to wait an hour in 93 degree heat. Arrived to a lovely room but the floor was filthy; they hadn't finished cleaning so there was a big bag of laundry in the middle of the room and a lot of long, dark hair from the previous guests.
