We walked to all corners of ancient Rome from this small apartment - to Vatican City, to Museo Borghese, to Colosseum to Campo de' Fiori to the Spanish Steps and many other sites. When we wanted to travel further, we walked to the nearby Flaminio train station.
The street outside the apartment windows was tiny, busy and often noisy with people coming and going but the windows could be closed and the air conditioning turned on. The apartment street was right off Via Del Corso, a major tourist shopping street for pedestrian use only most of the day.
There were plenty of places to eat nearby even the excellent Hostaria Da Pietro just doors away. And we could walk to a grocery store.
We took owners suggestion and booked a pickup from the airport through him and a cooking class at INROME COOKING near Campo de' Fiori. Needed the first after long journey and loved the second with our chef Phillipo.
There was someone at apartment when we arrived to orient us to accommodations and City of Rome in general.
