It felt like it was a cabin used frequently by a family with many things in various state of needing repair. I had to fix two light fixtures to get them to work and I had to pound down nails in the floorboards that would otherwise cut our feet. Floors and cabinets seem to be partially updated but not fully (e.g missing handles or sections of floor still bare plywood). ...

“Nice location. Front storm door was missing a window. Turning on the heat was difficult as you had to get down on the floor to turn on, adjust temp and turn off the heat register which took awhile to find the dials. And had to use a flashlight to find. Difficult for anybody with a disability as for me I have back problems. Stairs to upstairs sleeping area were very narrow and I felt unsafe. The railing was not completely to the top of the stairs and I felt the railing was not safe. Railing...

“We stayed here as a nice Christmas getaway weekend for our family. We booked tickets on The Polar Express train in Cumberland, MD, so this was a great location for both our event and to explore Cumberland. Very clean and cozy place to stay as temperatures fell into the teens. We toasted marshmallows at the firepit and enjoyed the hot tub as snow fell around us.
