“Perfect spot for a quiet getaway. The property was beautifully designed and very well kept. It had great amnesties that allowed us to dine in and enjoy the wood burning stove. A short walk to the beach was also a bonus. We would definitely stay again”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ballyvaughn. Ray is a great host--check in was a breeze and the location of the house is terrific-- close to town, but quiet--with great access to Bishop's Quarter--a lovely strand for walking- The view from the house couldn't be prettier. This would be a great spot for a family, as there is plenty of room. We will be back for sure.”

“We loved our stay so much, we wished we booked this house longer! The history of the property we learned from the property manager was astounding. The views of the water, back garden, and lounging on the couch just looking at the walls around us were priceless. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to feel like you’re really in Ireland!”

“Wonderful 3 br cottage with a wonderful view of the ocean. Excellent if you want to get away from the city. Lots of sights to see including a castle, seashore, cliffs and just enjoy nature. Ann, our hpst was extremely friendly and helpful and keeps the place immaculate. If you want a big city, Galway is about an hour drive, Limerick, just a little longer trip. Ann stocked the fridge with some treats and even brought over some really fresh bread. Grrat place and i highly recommend it.”

“My family of six stayed here after st. Patrick’s Day. It’s the perfect location to see the cliffs of Moher. The view from the cottage itself is absolutely stunning. The cottage is beautiful outside and inside with new floors and furnishings. It’s extremely comfortable and cozy. I would definitely recommend staying here.”

“Très jolie plage à proximité, et balades sur les rochers de granite. Pas reçu les informations pour l’arrivée mais très bon accueil sur place avec l’aide des voisins. Inconvénients : maison un peu humide et système de paiement de l’électricité avec des pièces de 2€ qui s’éteint rapidement en cours de journée. Bon point de départ pour balades ds le Connemara.”

“Generously appointed, spacious and modern. I wouldn't hesitate to book Seamist for a longer time than the few nights we stayed. It was so difficult to move on - sunsets over the ocean, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings for long conversations, and a picturesque castle tower nearby. Nearby are so many engaging activities - the Cliffs, Aran Islands, hiking, biking, swimming, Doolin, Lisdoonvarna. Fantastic beds, lovely bedding and linens. On a quiet road, good access to walking paths....

“Cottage is lovely and easy to find the local village is walkable and has everything you would want with shops and great restaurants (reasonable prices too) the only small thing we would suggest they improve is the lighting in the kitchen which is really insufficient if you want to cook in the evening.”

“We absolutely loved the location of this property!! It is isolated, surrounded by the ocean inlets. Be prepared for the narrow roads and the one lane dirt road that brings you out on the island. It is not modern, but we were not looking for modern. We had everything we needed for our 6 day stay and enjoyed it immensely.”

“We loved our stay. Frank and Geraldine Molloy were very lovely hosts. The cottage had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The only thing that was missing was the dryer. There was a washing machine, but not a dryer as listed. The location was perfect. We could visit Galway as well as Connemara Visitor center, and the Kylemore Abby. The cottage was right on the lake, so the morning views were breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who likes a peaceful retreat.”

“I booked "University of Galway Apartments" thinking that I would get an apartment. My wife teaches a summer course at Galway and my son and I stayed with her in her four-bedroom apartment last year. Much to my surprise, this year my son and I didn't get an apartment ... we got a single dormitory room in Dunlin Village. A single dormitory room with a small bed and a chair and nothing else. No coffeemaker, no nothing. Just towels, soap, body wash. Amazingly, this was billed as a "deluxe"...
