“Wonderful cottage. Thought of everything. Easy to find and good location for visiting local area. Hosts were so helpful giving us advice on where to visit & how to get there . Very tasty breakfast which sets you up for the day. Host really couldn’t have done any more to help. Fabulous place to stay will definitely return when visiting again.”

“This was my first visit to York and the Ryedale cottages was the best place to stay while in the area. The house is lovely with comfortable beds, clean linens, and loads of games to play as a family. There are miles of walking trails and some cheeky sheep to see up the road. The view from the front of the house was beautiful and the hosts were so lovely. We arrived with a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and a Victoria sponge on the table waiting for us. The kitchen is a bit narrow...

“The landlord went out of his way to be helpful ”

“I was traveling to the area alone and had chosen to stay here. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who I later discovered was the owner. The room was very clean a pretty with everything you needed. That evening I had a drink in the bar and the owners were so friendly and welcoming offering any assistance I may need. The breakfast was delicious and while I didn’t eat a meal there the menu looked great and very varied. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. ”

“Fantastic place. Strongly recommend. Food was great. Service a bit slow, but it was a busy time and limited staff. Accommodations were lovely and one of the very best w stayed in on our Coast to Coast hike. ”

“The staff were so friendly and keen to make everything perfect. The room was great. The food was excellent. I had really great dinners and breakfast was delicious start to day. The locals clearly loved the Royal Oak which was another good sign! Such a great stay and only good things to say about it!”

“A lovely old country house with delightful and spacious gardens. Breakfasts were superb and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The host and his staff were at all times friendly and attentive. We'd happily stay again.”

“We have stayed at White Horse Farm Inn before and have enjoyed our time there. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than a lovely village inn. It is a typical village pub of it's age and time. It has the most spectacular scenery as it's stands on a plateau up the hill on the road leading to Rosedale Chimneys. Absolutely beautiful! Our room was the very large family one so we had plenty of space. The staff were fantastic. Friendly Yorkshire folk, nothing was too much trouble. The food was well...

“Just a short three day break the location was fantastic so peaceful Just the birds and sheep so relaxing. Have been to Scarborough many times and this is one of the best the cottage location is perfect and is fully equipped with everything you need and in immaculate condition, the only thing missing was black out blinds or curtains in the bedrooms otherwise perfect will definitely be back again ”

“It's a stunning location right on the beach, and it's a short walk over the headland or round the bay, to Robin Hood's Bay. Wonderful staff. Excellent breakfast. Clean room. Super cafe bar. Relaxing seaside decor It's a gem. ”
