Host was delightful, and really helpful regarding such things as eating out and local services. Bed was meltingly comfy, great air con which was wonderful in summer deluge causing humidity. Pool was sparkling and very inviting. Our dog was extremely well catered for, with treats left out as welcoming gifts, dogs bedding galore and safely fenced outdoor spaces. The decor in the chandelier suite was eccentric, but very comfortable, with every need we had considered and catered for. Thank you so much Chris.

Chris is a wonderful hostess, friendly and helpful. If you love dogs this is an excellent B&B, even if you don't have yours with you. If you do, they can enjoy a secure yard with a view of the passing world, and are welcome to share space indoors too.

Clean, comfortable and unusual

We loved our stay at Must Love Dogs. The property was clean and had no dog smell. The bed was very comfortable. Our dogs loved the dog treats and we loved the biscuits left out for humans on our arrival. We didn’t get a chance to try the home cooked breakfast as we had to leave early, but will be back to sample that another time.

Quirky and great property

Wonderful courtyard, I didn't end up bringing the dogs, but they would have loved it. Big living room, bed room and bathroom with a beautiful Eggs Benedict with fresh farm eggs for breakfast.

Best place for humans and doggos

This must be the best place for humans and dogs. Thanks Chris and Charlie for welcoming us back. We loved it. Well, and there are all the beautiful wineries and the nice town. We will be back.

A charming B&B where our pup was the VIP and we the lucky entourage! Host Chris was lovely with helpful advice. Comfy bed, hot generous shower, great location and amazing breakfast will have us coming back for sure!

A special place

We were looking specifically for a place we could stay in Rutherglen with our 16 year old dog. This place didn’t disappoint. The place was special and so are the owners. The suite was beautifully presented; the bed is extremely comfortable and warm given the chilly nights. The modern bathroom has a nice big shower. The breakfasts served were 5 star dining with clearly Chris earning the title of the “ Chef Extraordinaire Mistress”. Nothing was too much trouble. If you love dogs you will love this special place and feel comfortable leaving your dog/s in their own enclosed yard whilst you explore the Rutherglen wineries. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay! Muffins & Muscat - Dog Pool

Chris and Charlie welcomed us from the beginning with all their fur babies and guided us around the refurbished and clean property. Our dog had plenty of space to run around in our own fenced garden with table and chairs. We were welcomed with some Chris’ version of M & M’s MUFFINS warmed with dollops of cream and strawberries together with MUSCAT from the local Buller’s winery. Our dog got a treat too! We were left to enjoy the property swimming in the pool with our dog who enjoyed diving in. The air conditioning was a great cool relief from the hot weather while relaxing in the recliner chairs and watching some TV. Breakfast was a healthy and delicious smoked salmon on toast with poached eggs cooked by Chris. A very relaxing and comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Friendly and honest hospitality.

We only spent the one night, but it was an absolute pleasure, our hosts were a very lovely couple, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t have a dislike for dogs, we found the four legged friends a distraction to the mental baggage.
