“I stayed at this property to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday, and it exceeded every expectation. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our special occasion even more memorable.
The property itself is even more stunning in person the views of the lake were absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in the Dome, and instantly fell in love with its unique charm and the incredible outdoor bathroom.
The food was just as amazing as the scenery fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented....

“L'albergo è a pochi passi (fattibili a piedi o in tuc-tuc) da San Juan e San Pedro, due dei posti più carini e tranquilli (soprattutto San Juan) dell'area tzutujil del lago di Atitlán.
I letti sono comodi, gli interni accoglienti (bagni per la verità un po' umidi, ma non rappresenta un grosso problema), stanze silenziose e perfette per rilassarsi.
Il servizio di colazione e, a pagamento, cena a noi è piaciuto molto. Nel gruppo c'erano anche vegani e hanno trovato varie opzioni di loro...

“The view and entire ambience was so beautiful, staff were kind and welcoming. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable but the view of lake Atitlan from my room was divine! That made up for the room being basic . ”

“You could write a book on all the wonderful things about El Picnic.
Jochen&Gaby have crafted a serene and beautiful experience with some of the most amazing views of Lake Atitlan.
Stellar views, thoughtfully designed rooms, relaxing lounge area, and delicious meals.
It's a glamping experience that provides a great hub for checking out the other lake towns. Easy to get around via tuktuk or the ferry.

“You will not find a more unique property or fascinating couple who are your hosts. They designed this volcanic tent/cottage resort with a panoramic view of Lake Atitlan and her Volcanoes. An amazing dining hall/bar etched into the volcanic rock with cusine made from scratch from your incredible Hosts Jochen y Gabbie. The sous vide steak/lomito was delicious. The nights under the moon and stars with the sounds of nature all around, make this a must stay at the lake. Hosts will hire private boats...
