Villa sulla spiaggia mozzafiato e lussuosa!

La splendida Villa Sand offre un'atmosfera lussuosa e rilassante da cui esplorare l'isola più grande del Belize, Ambergris Caye.

Inizia la giornata aprendo le portefinestre sul tuo ampio ponte dove puoi ammirare le spettacolari albe. Sorseggiando il tuo caffè o Mimosa sui nostri comodi lettini, quindi fai colazione nel tuo tavolo da pranzo all'aperto. 

Qui è dove puoi iniziare la tua avventura. Pianificare i tuoi giorni perfetti in paradiso, è facile come la pesca subacquea con aragosta o conchiglia. Ambergris Caye ha molte attività per tutti, questo può essere facilmente programmato tramite il nostro concierge. Snorkeling, kayak sulla seconda più grande barriera corallina, immersioni subacquee sul Blue Hole, pesca del barracuda, gite in barca da un'isola all'altra, crociere in golf cart, esplorazione, mountain bike, shopping, escursioni sulla terraferma o semplicemente relax per una camera massaggio. La Perla ha una bellissima piscina a pochi passi da Villa Sands. 
 
Quando il sole tramonta, raggomitolati sull'amaca con un buon libro, rilassati e guarda un film sulla TV a schermo piatto o sfida i tuoi ospiti a una partita a carte mentre la cena viene preparata da uno chef nella nostra cucina completamente attrezzata . 
 
La nostra villa a concetto aperto è perfettamente configurata per famiglie o coppie che viaggiano insieme. L'interno della villa presenta splendidi lavori in legno di Belize. Soffitto in legno di mogano. L'arredamento è rustico / moderno con autentici oggetti d'antiquariato guatemaltechi, tavoli artigianali in legno e opere d'arte uniche in legno alla deriva per il divertimento di tutti. Ci sono 2 camere da letto con 2 bagni privati che consentono di dormire comodamente 6 persone.
 
Ti godrai questa casa rilassante e unica con le coste del Belize, letteralmente a 15 piedi di fronte a te. Il tuo cortile è di sabbia bianca di zucchero e acque blu turchese. La città di San Pedro è accessibile con golf cart o barca. I ristoranti locali sono felici di trasportare gli ospiti da e verso il nostro molo.

The only downfall was the seaweed had gathered around the sea wall causing a bad smell. The staff worked everyday to clean it up. Even with that small inconvenience I would recommend the unit. We loved the deck and pool area. We had a golf cart and it was easy to get around to surrounding restaurants and bars. I am sure we will being going back

Great experience in a beautiful villa

Everything about the listing was true. The staff were extremely kind and very responsive! The villa was very clean and everything in it worked perfectly - zero complaints. The only challenge with our visit in very early April was the nonstop wind coming off the ocean and the related sargassum (seaweed) buildup on the beach. The wind was 25-35 mph non-stop the 5 days we were there, which made it impossible to go fishing, scuba diving or really do anything on the water. It was even too windy to really enjoy the pool. I will say that the staff did an admirable job of dealing with the sargassum every morning that accumulated overnight. They spend a few hours shoveling it away - and thank goodness that they did or it really smells bad. The saving grace for us given the wind was that we rented a golf cart and were able to go to the protected Secret Beach area and other parts of the island. It also allowed us to go to the grocery store often (a great new grocery is only 10 min away by golf cart). We also used the cart to explore different restaurants in San Pedro and around the island. Overall, a great trip that was limited slightly by Mother Nature.

Not as advertised

Ok, I have to say that I don’t like writing bad reviews but feel like there are important takeaways that everyone should know before deciding if this is the right place for them. A little background we have been to many 5-star and 3-star places. We visited Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cabo, Hawaii, and Costa Rica. This was not any of them in a negative way. On our check-in, we got our orientation which included no swimming in the ocean as there was seaweed and no real place to swim(it was like that for the whole island...only Secret beach-and this was not really much of a beach. We Only went there for couple of hours and kids wanted to leave). Other items on orientation- do not flush toilets with toilet paper and to discard soiled toilet paper in the trash can because the sewage pipes can't handle it. Next, we settled in and the sheets for our bedroom and the kids bedroom were so dirty. small red drops...not sure what that was. The kids had a bunch of other stains. One of the kids beds sheets was clean with no stains. Anyway, we changed the sheets ourselves that were in the closet and told the office and they seemed as a big shock and offered us a free one-hour massage(which was very nice of them). But still, we spend a lot of money for our one week vacation and was not what we expected. The showers had very low water flow, the furniture, kitchen appliances, paint everywhere was very old and chipped needed a serious makeover. not as advertised. C No jacuzzi. the pool was mediocre.

First time to Belize

The local dive/snorkel company was extremely convenient as they literally picked us up from our resort dock and Mexico Rocks reef was only a 10 minute boat ride away. Absolutely the most amazing snorkeling I’ve done in my life so I can’t say enough about the experience. I will definitely come back to Belize for future vacations.

Gorgeous beachside retreat

Wow! From the moment we arrived at La Perla to the moment we left we were treated to a slice of paradise and excellent hospitality. The Sands is a perfect unit for a family or two couples to get away to the beach. Walk right out to the beach and relax on the pier. Hop in a kayak and cruise the beautiful clear blue water. Michael, Roberto and the whole crew were incredibly responsive and there to help or set up any activity we could dream of, or help us dream. Everything was very clean and well stocked. Thank you for an excellent stay! We will be back.

Villa in paradise

The villa was exactly as described. It was very clean, spacious and very close to the water. The breeze really helped us stay cool and enjoy our stay. We would return to this little spot in paradise.

One downfall that was noones fault was the dead seaweed that was brought in by the storms/waves. No one can prepare for that. Other than the rotten egg smell, our trip was one for the books. We made the best out of the rotten smell. The staff was just AMAZING "nothing to big or to small", right Michaela!? I cant say it enough, amazing staff, food and accommodations!

Right Place for the Right Kind of Travelers

But with comments ranging from one of the Top Resorts in the world to I wouldn't go in the water I was still a little nervous. Here is the deal, it is a great place. Is it perfect, no. It is a bit far from town, yes if you are into spending lots of time in town. There is sea grass that washes ashore but that happens all along the caye and the staff does a great job of clearing it out. Is it on the level of full service high end hotel, no. Is it really comfortable and clean - yes. This is the perfect place as long as you are not an uptight traveler who needs everything absolutely perfect and gets annoyed at small issues. For us, a family of 4, it was absolutely perfect. We did not mind driving the golf cart into town down a bumpy dirt road, it was a fun adventure. We did not feel our vacation was ruined if the internet went out for a little while. We enjoy cooking our own food but found a few good places within a 3 minute walk that were good when we did not want to cook. The staff were very responsive and helped us with anything we needed. The sea grass issues was not a big deal, paddle out 1 minute and the water is crystal blue, clear and warm. The view from the house and front porch alone will be bringing us back. They deserve the strong review but I hope you all don't take the dates I want when I come back again.

There were kayaks and a paddle board to use on site, which was fun. We did end up renting a golf cart for convenience to explore & pick up our own groceries (which I'd recommend). Our host (Michaela) was fabulous & very responsive before & during our stay to make sure every detail was taken care of completely. Roberto set us up with a fishing and snorkeling tours which I'd highly recommend!! There is a great restaurant within walking distance (our favorite), and a couple that were recommended by staff in San Pedro City. Overall, very satisfied with this location, accommodations, and host team -- would highly recommend!
