Although the room itself was ok, we felt a bit mislead about certain things.
We arrived late after a long drive on a very bumpy road. Check in was short and no real instructions about the resort were given.
The website says daily housekeeping but that didnt happened. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned half way through our stay. Then was shocked to be charged $20 US for the service, the cost wasnt the issue but all they did was take out the garbage and recycling and swapped out towels, they never restocked toliet paper, dish towels etc.
The room was not clean when we arrived as we found peanuts all over the carpet when we folded up the hid-a-bed in the living room. Had we been instructed as to where to take our garbage and recycleing we would havd gladly taken care of it.
Staff was nonexistent during our stay, hardly seen them and unless you went to find them they were never around.
Trying to lock and unlock our room took sometimes up to 5 minutes to do as the tumblers were so rusted.
We felt like the resort was very unwelcoming to non-owners. Other than a few other guests there was no interactions with people at the resort. No music playing, no atmosphere, very dull. And the bugs were horrendous! We know the resort is not to blame but you could hardly we outside unless the sun was shining, which sadly wasnt much while we were there.
We will say Wilbert at the bar was the highlight of our trip. Restaurant was good.
