“We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa, the tone was set the moment we arrived. “My partner and I didn't quite know what ro expect from "luxury" accommodations in the jungles of Belize. Especially, as a gay couple, we can never be sure of the locals reception of us. We booked the Luxury Villa room. It was spacious and spotless with a wonderful shower and a comfortable king-size bed. “Love the lodge feel and extremely kind and helpful staff. Our family stayed for three nights. Since driving the last mile was a little challenging, we opted to have dinners every night at the Lodge. Great service and wonderful food, but a bit on the pricier side compared to eating in town. We did the ATM excursion through the lodge.
