I can best describe the unit as comfortable loft apartment. It's basically a mother-in-law suite above a free-standing garage about 50 feet or so from the main house. The owners could not possibly be nicer or more accommodating. They are responsive when you have questions, and proactively offer to help with whatever you need, but they otherwise respect your space. Perfect demeanor! The closest thing to a negative I can think of was the arrival. I got there at night, after a LONG drive in, and finding the place was a challenge. It's one of a handful of properties on a circular dirt road. It was dark, the properties weren't clearly marked, and the one I "thought" was it had a police car in the driveway which kinda threw me. "Why would my rental have a police car in the driveway? This can't be it." I texted the owner and, in fact, that was the right place. I found the side door into the unit and took my bags in. This is the other negative. Their dog, which was in the sunroom closest to the driveway, barked bloody murder at me like I was an intruder. With my nerves already shot from a long drive (not the owners' fault or problem), and trouble finding the place in the dark, I must admit that I wasn't feeling that. So the stay got off to a bit of a rocky start. But, after that first evening, I didn't hear another peep from the dog and the owners could not possibly have been better. Like a good waiter at a fine restaurant. Present, attentive, but not smothering. I would return!
