“The hotel was perfect location for open air theatre 15 min stroll down the hill. Lovely decor in the hotel very clean and fresh looks like it’s had a recent refurbishment. Breakfast nearly perfect just a small recommendation to chef - just cook the sausages a little longer for that golden brown all over. “Arrived to be given a key and parking disc , friendly but nobody overnight at a reception, big room but found it very noisy with the seagulls and road noise as single glazed windows , tap wobbly and no waste cover in shower , should have unplugged the fridge as noisy at night on and off , no plug point near the dressing table so couldn’t see when drying hair , did smell like a greasy spoon !!!”

“To tall for the shower I am only 6ft.room was on the small side.miss leading on meals as they was no where at the hotel for meals as the pictures on the advertisement showed .you have to go off site for breakfast.Does not mention this on the advertisement.as I’m disabled it was very difficult to open the door into the room as it was catching on the floor.there was no wardrobe to hang any clothes.”

Another room was broken into in middle of night, police also had to attend following night. This was my third staying at the Waves, last 2 years excellent but this year was very poor, have cancelled booking for next year. Two other couples who have been staying each year also not booking for next year. A real shame the change from last year ”

“On arrival my husband was given a door key card not the actual key that was actually needed. He was stuck outside the room on the second floor because had had all the luggage and didn't want to lug it back downstairs. Room was very hot with no view but fortunately had a fan. Bed was comfortable and TV reception was very poor. Best I can do was our stay was 2 star.🙂‍↕️”

“When I arrived in Scarborough by train I used the Google maps on my phone to find this hotel since I wasn't sure where it's location was. Staff customer service skills were fantastic. There was a lift inside the hotel, which I only used twice. I wasn't a fan of that lift. On 19/6 when I first wanted to use it I was having a problem with getting the lift to work, a member of staff on the reception desk shown me how to close the lift door.
