“Room was cool and clean but the halls were heavily perfumed, seemingly covering up some mold smell. Noticed that moldy smell just inside our doorway the second morning, right before checking out. “I have been a loyal guest of JW Marriott and visit the San Antonio property regularly. However, during my most recent stay, I was surprised to see that a large portion of the pool loungers now require an additional upgrade or reservation fee.
In the past, only the cabana area required an upgrade, which seemed fair and reasonable. This time, however, it appeared that nearly a third of the standard loungers in the common pool area were also reserved for upgraded guests.

“For an overnight stay it was good. Close to places I needed to visit. Room did not cool to set temp of 70, and was humid. Chose to start here for a company meeting instead of Estancia Del Norte because their room was uncomfortably warm as well. Same issue here. Staff was pleasant and nice.”

“The room was very clean, beds were soft and comfortable. The only issues we had was the key cards that were given to us did not work after the second time we had to get a 3rd set. The pool was dirty and the a.c in the lobby was not working which was hot, but did not affect our room. Everything else was good.”
